This week's #torah reading is called #vaetchanan, which comes from Deuteronomy 3:23 and means "And I pleaded". Here's a list of Apostolic passages to read and study alongside this Parsha (#deuteronomy 3:23-7:11), plus links to commentary and video teachings: https://www.americantorah.com/....2021/03/28/parsha-va
Some men think they can grow long hair because they claim Yeshua had long hair. Scripture tells men to keep short hair and women long hair. If Messiah did have long hair it was only because he might have taken a Nazarite vow. Outside of that, men are to have short hair. Since there is no longer a temple or priests to do the Nazarite vow it is no longer valid.
Sometimes standing on the gospel is heartbreaking. We want so much for those we love to hear, turn, and obey. How do we keep going on, day after day, staying on the narrow path, while watching those we love veer off in dark directions? We hold to Yeshua's words in Matthew 10 and we refuse to give up our peace.
"And when you go into a household, greet it. If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if is not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet." Matthew 10: 12-14
