But they understood none of these things. This saying was hidden from them, and they did not grasp what was said.
Luke 18:34

Sometimes even the most obvious statements can't be understood if we are already too convinced of something different.

What are some of your money saving tips that you presently put in to use? Do you have any that you intend to put in to use but haven't started yet?

For example, we use family cloth, make our own laundry soap, garden, use bar soap in place of liquid soap, water down our almond milk for cereal, have porch curtains which keep the heat off the front windows in the summer, batch prepare chili or soup for the week, make homemade cat food, use window cling and plastic window insulation year-round to prevent drafts and temperature changes from the windows and hang laundry instead of using the dryer from March-December.

What great tips do you have that others many be able to glean from???

White vinegar is very good for gardening and making cleaning sprays add orange or lemon peel and does the job. I also learnt that you can use lemon peel as deodorant rubbing the perl under your arms. I watch a Torah home stead couple on YouTube ?

Take care then how you hear, for to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he thinks that he has will be taken away.
Luke 8:18

The more you are willing to hear from God, the more he will tell you. The more you listen to yourself instead of God, the less you will be able to hear from him.

Shabbat a sign between the Most High and his people
Ezekiel 20
10“So I took them out of the land of Mitsrayim, and I brought them into the wilderness.
11“And I gave them My laws and showed them My right-rulings, ‘which, if a man does, he shall live by them.’
12“And I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a signa between them and Me, to know that I am יהוה who sets them apart.

Shabbat a sign and an everlasting covenant.
Exodus 31
12And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,
13“And you, speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘My Sabbaths you are to guard, by all means, for it is a signa between Me and you throughout your generations, to know that I, יהוה, am setting you apart.

16‘And the children of Yisra’ĕl shall guard the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as an everlasting covenant.

Preparation day.
Exodus 16
22And it came to be, on the sixth day, that they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for each one. And all the rulers of the congregation came and told Mosheh.
23And he said to them, “This is what יהוה has said, ‘Tomorrow is a rest, a Sabbath set-apart to יהוה. That which you bake, bake; and that which you cook, cook. And lay up for yourselves all that is left over, to keep it until morning.’ ”
24And they laid it up till morning, as Mosheh commanded. And it did not stink, and no worm was in it.
25And Mosheh said, “Eat it today, for today is a Sabbath to יהוה, today you do not find it in the field.
26“Gather it six days, but on the seventh day, which is the Sabbath, there is none.”

29“See, because יהוה has given you the Sabbath, therefore He is giving you bread for two days on the sixth day. Let each one stay in his place, do not let anyone go out of his place on the seventh day.”
30So the people rested on the seventh day.
