Y'all, corporate America has heavily influenced the church and I don't know if people realize it. The left panel, the idea that the covenants in the Bible are like business contracts, is very prevalent among believers. Which confuses me as I remember growing up in church and everyone talking about the Bible being a love story. A love story doesn't center itself around a business contract.

However, usually it does center itself around a marriage. I mention in the comic to do a study on Hebraic marriage. It is so cool to see! The "going to my Father's house to prepare a place". The parable of the wise & foolish virgins. Everything in the Mt. Sinai account and events around it. There is so much in these instances and elsewhere and it is so cool to see.

The Bible doesn't speak of a business agreement between us and the Father. It does speak of a marriage. And marriages have vows, things the spouses say they will do. The question is, are you fulfilling your vows?

Sometime we can be our own worst enemy, we can be a master of self destruction. When it seems like everything we do is wrong, when it seems like everything we touch breaks, that is when we most of us remember to pray. Jeremiah 17:14—15, “Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved, for You are my praise. Behold, they keep saying to me, “Where is the word of the LORD? Let it come now!” We should remember to include Him in everything, a continuing conversation of prayer is a reminder that our Creator is involved in our lives and His word will be forever on our lips.
