“Behold, the days are coming, declares YHVH, when I will punish all those who are circumcised merely in the flesh— Egypt, Judah, Edom, the sons of Ammon, Moab, and all who dwell in the desert who cut the corners of their hair, for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in heart.”
Jeremiah 9:25-26

Those who are circumcised in the flesh only might as well be uncircumcised. They are no better than pagans in God's eyes. What he really wants is a circumcised heart.

Are you looking for a teaching about the Sabbath you can share with non-Torah observant family and friends?

Take a look at "The Ten Commandments" series, beginning with part 15. (Link in the comments.)

The last third of Exodus is arranged chiastically, with the Tabernacle and Sabbath on the outside and the golden calf on the inside. Almost as if God wanted to quarantine the WRONG way to worship him by walling it off between two accounts of the RIGHT way.

I'll be hosting The Chiasm Course at Common Sense Bible Study to teach how to find, diagram, and understand biblical chiasms.

Enroll now at https://commonsensebiblestudy.com. Class starts next week!

Psalm 7;17, “I will praise the Lord according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the Lord most high.” David begins this Psalm singing about the Creator being a refuge from his enemies. David then transitions into praise, sending all of his appreciation to his Creator.

Thought for Today: Tuesday August 16:

No person is meek by nature… Moses was meek, but he was not meek by nature. YHVH worked meekness into his life over a forty-year period. Peter was certainly not meek by nature. He was impetuous, saying and doing the first thing that came into his mind. But little by little, Ruach HaKodesh transformed Peter after the Resurrection of Yeshua. Only Ruach HaKodesh can transform our lives through the new birth experience and then make us over again into the image of Moshiach. He is our example of true meekness.
