An interesting question from an agnostic is, “Why older religious women seem to be so unhappy to the point of being miserably contrary?” I think we all know some people who fit this description, they claim that going to church and Bible study brings them joy but it only seems to make them bitter. The reason is quite simple, they are confused and angry. Confused because they realize their traditions and denominational doctrines conflict with the Bible and they are angry because no one will admit to the conflict, but only offer excuses. These folks refuse to give top the traditions they know bring them harm much like someone refusing to give up an unhealthy bad habit. their soul is at war with their hearts and mind, they have no peace waiting themselves. We could consider them tradition junkies, addicted to the unhealthy things thatchy think should bring them joy but in reality it slowly destroys them. Psalm 97:10, “Hate evil, O you who love the LORD! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.”

A call to repentance and obedience to every word that proceeds from YHWH.
John 1:23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of YHWH, as said the prophet Isaiah.
Ezekiel 13:1-23 And the word of YHWH came unto me, saying,
Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of YHWH;
Thus saith the Master YHWH; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!
O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts.
Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of YHWH.
They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, YHWH saith: and YHWH hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.
Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, YHWH saith it; albeit I have not spoken?
Therefore thus saith the Master YHWH; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Master YHWH.
And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Master YHWH.
Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter:
Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.
Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?
Therefore thus saith the Master YHWH; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.
So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered morter, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am YHWH.
Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with untempered morter, and will say unto you, The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it;
To wit, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Master YHWH.

Thought for Today: Shabbat May 14:
To worry about what might happen, makes even the smallest trouble seem huge. Nervously anticipating troubles that may never happen, can crush our spirits. Instead of borrowing trouble by constant worrying about the future, listen instead to Yeshua’s promise: [Peace I leave with you, My peace I give you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let it be afraid] – John 14:27. Whatever is worrying you now, today, this morning; give it to Yeshua and trust Him to take care of it. Let His Peace replace your worries.
