Rest in the stillness of YHVH’s Presence while He prepares you for this day. Let the radiance of His Glory shine upon you, as you wait on Him in confident trust. Be still and know that He is Elohiym! There is both a passive and an active side to trusting Him. As you rest in His Presence, focusing on Him, He quietly build bonds of trust between you and Him. When you respond to the circumstances of your life with affirmations of trust, you actively participate in this process. He is always with you, so you have no reason to be afraid. Your fear often manifests itself in excessive planning. Your mind is so accustomed to this pattern of thinking that you are only now becoming aware of how pervasive it is and how much it hinders your intimacy with Elohiym. Repent of this tendency and resist it, whenever you realize you are wondering down this well-worn path. Return to His Presence, which always awaits you in the present moment. He will accept you back without any condemnation.

God probably intervened to prevent King Jehoshaphat of Judah from being distracted and corrupted by wealth. According to 2 Chronicles, God destroyed these ships because of his close alliance with the wicked king Ahab of Israel. When King Ahaziah, Ahab's son, offered to make it a joint mission, Jehoshaphat had learned an important lesson: Avoid close ties with wicked kings despite the potential for great gain.
