The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify about it that its works are evil.
John 7:7
The world loves those who enable its wickedness. If you speak the truth about right and wrong in any era or country, you can be assured that those who love darkness will hate you.

POLL: Would you be interested in purchasing a plush doll of a character from the Straight + Narrow? I recently received notification that the company I do S+N t-shirts though are now offering the ability to do plushes. The image has some examples of other creator's products. To have the plushes made the campaign would need at least 300 units ordered - which is why the poll. I wanted to see if there was even enough interest in it. These are not Drop/Ship like the shirts and would only be available as a one-time offer for that character.
Also, if interested, let me know which character you would like to see!
After this Jesus went about in Galilee. He would not go about in Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill him.
John 7:1
Often in the New Testament, the term "Jews" is used to refer to a subset of the Jews, not to all Jews. John especially uses it to refer to the Jewish religious and political leadership in Judea, a collective term for the Pharisees, Sadducees, priests, and scribes.
In Matthew 14:1-12, Herod had taken his brother's wife, Herodias, contrary to God's commandments in Leviticus 18:16 and 20:21. John the Baptist called him out for it, so Herod put him in prison. Herodias then got her daughter to ask Herod to behead John. There are four lessons I'd like to draw from this story...
