Woe to them! For they walked in the way of Cain and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam's error and perished in Korah's rebellion.
Jude 1:11
Cain's religion is self-made. "I'll do it my way. God knows my heart." Yes, He does.
Balaam's religion is profit-driven, selling out God and God's people for more stuff.
Korah's religion is about envy. "Why should Moses and Aaron get all the glory? I'm just as good as them!"
Cain, Balaam, and Korah all thought they knew better than God. They knew what was right, but did whatever they wanted instead. They "ministered" for pay and position. Sound like anyone you know? They're dead now. God still lives.
And while some were speaking of the temple, how it was adorned with noble stones and offerings, he said...
Luke 21:5
The offerings with which the Temple was decorated were probably costly art and metals donated by wealthy patrons for the sake of status. #yeshua pointed them out to the Disciples as an illustration of the proud offerings of the wealthy opposed to the humble widow's mite in the previous verses. The donor of each of these items was probably well known and they might have even had their names inscribed on or near their gifts.

Communication is essential between everyone. Expressing our ideas, concerns, desires, instruction, love and so on can not happen unless we communicate properly. Genesis 20:17, “So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children.” Had Abraham not communicated his desire appropriately would this verse be in the Bible? If the people we communicate with don’t use or define words the same way we express them, there is no understanding. Unless we define the words we read in the Bible the same as the writer, there is no understanding, only confusion.

May He use you to be a source of refreshment to many others. And may you pause today to notice the good things in your own life and give thanks. You are blessed and loved and you have access to a divine supply you could never exhaust or use up. Be present in the moment and trust YHVH to give you what you need.
