God, Moses, David, and Solomon all said that keeping #torah (God's Law) brings peace and prosperity, but how? Answer: Torah is a how-to manual for love. If you can learn to love as God defines it, then everything else will fall into place.

Another question: What kind of twisted theology says that trying to follow God's instructions does more harm than good? Or even more perversely, that obeying God's commandments is a sin!?

Answer: A theology of hatred for both God and man. God is love. His Law is love. Anyone who tries to keep you from keeping God's Law is being hateful toward you.

My husband has a meeting at work tomorow with the manager to ask for a Sabbath off every week.
He works for a grocery delivery company in UK and drives a van . The shifts are various days but either early mornings or late evenings.

He is requesting early shifts only from now on and the Sabbath off.

The manager said to bring any supporting evidence to prove his special situation.

Can anyone suggest where I can get some help, perhaps a template letter that he can write explaining that there should be equal opportunities with other religions like Muslims and Jews.
We are in UK so 6 hours ahead of US. He needs any letter by 12midday tomorow .

Hmm, this is a tough one. I am a Depot Manager at an event hire company and also have drivers that may have to go out on Saturdays. I always first try to get my sales people to not take Saturday deliveries, but this is unfortunately the nature of the industry.

When you look at https://www.citizensadvice.org.....uk/law-and-courts/d then the UK law makes a case to justify discrimination under 1. running an efficient service 2. requirements of a business

You will therefore have to take local examples from your husband's work where others are given Saturdays off due to their religion. If there aren't any then you are basically asking for a precedence to be created which could be why they are asking for evidence.

That in itself could create a whole lot of complications for the business as others will then also wan the day off...

I would put a case forward that I would gladly be the first available person do to Sunday deliveries. I don't know whether they work on Sunday's, but that is historically the most difficult day of the week to find people to work on as everyone is still in the "routine" of taking Sundays off. It could therefore be a "selling point" for your husband.

I know this may not help you at this point in time, but I personally don't have an example that you can use for evidence.

What I however did at my interview was to state my beliefs and requirements so that they would agree on it from the start. It made my job options a lot less and I had to move out of IT, but Father still provided a job for me.

Update..
Hi guys thanks for your prayers.
Tim had the meeting. What a blessed time it was. We knew when Amwar (one of the managers) was chosen that God has ordained this.
He asked my what I wanted and then why. I spoke about going back to the Torah and the commandmens and he was commending me and backing me up.
. And that he too wants to study and obey Torah.

He spoke in faith about the outcome. I had to wait for HR to make the decision. So we kept praying and believing.
Then on Monday they said Yes!!!
So from 29th he will never have to work on Shabbat again.
Praise Yahweh.
