Whenever anyone asserts that some part of the Bible should be removed because he doesn't agree with the content, you need to be immediately on your guard. Don't take anything at face value. Test everything. Verify every claim. Look for alternative explanations.

Zelophehad's daughters in Joshua 17:4 weren't telling Joshua and Eleazar what to do, just reminding them of a promise already made. This is how God works too. He wants us to remind him of his promises and to claim them for ourselves.

Zelophehad's Daughters in Joshua 17

In Joshua 17:3-6 Zelophehad's daughters reminded Joshua of God's promise to give them land in Canaan. Not only did Joshua and God respect their request, but rewarded them with a double portion. God pr

Last year, our garden had somewhat of an unintended "land sabbath" and well... this year, when Spring hit, our yard EXPLODED with dandelions!

(Seriously...you would think I purposely sowed dandelion seeds all over our garden, it was just wild!)

And even though it did end up throwing a wrench into my gardening plans for this year, I found it to be an incredible blessing!

Dandelions are a SUPERFOOD with powerful healing properties! From the tops of their bright yellow blooms to the tips of their deepest roots, this entire plant is edible!!

And, wouldn't you know, I just so happened to discover over the winter that dandelions are one of the herbal remedies that I currently need most right now...especially the roots! (...isn't ABBA wonderful?! The Lord sure does provide in due season!! ?)

So over the last few months, I've been slowly harvesting them and drying out the roots! I plan to make dandelion root tea, roast some of them to make a healthy, caffeine-free coffee alternative, and may even attempt to make a home-made tincture with them, too!

Some of the benefits of dandelion are:
? Fights Free Radicals
? Lowers Bad Cholesterol
? Stabilizes Blood Sugar
? Lowers Blood Pressure
? Helps Digestion
? Improves Liver Health
? Reduces Inflammation
? Strengthens Immune System
? Aids in Weight Loss
? Amazing Source of Vitamins & Minerals

No doubt the Lord created this plant for our benefit!

So next time you see a dandelion pop up in your yard, don't spray it down with harmful, toxic chemicals or weed it out and toss it...

HARVEST it, and take advantage of it's MANY healing properties!

I loved it as a coffee alternative. Great for cirrhosis of the liver.

The Levites were counted separately from the other tribes. They were still Israelites, but didn't inherit a territory. They are a set apart people within a set apart people.

When the land of Israel was divided in Numbers 26, it was assigned by family, with larger families getting more land than smaller ones. However, each man twenty years or older was counted as a family, whether he was married or not. It would have benefited a man to marry and begin having children as soon as possible, even in the depths of the wilderness

Most land in Israel was assigned solely by random lot to avoid graft and favoritism. There were some exceptions, though. Two examples are the clan of Makhir and Caleb's son in law. Both received choice portions because they were exceptional warriors who ruthlessly dispossessed the previous inhabitants.
