Many modern worship leader attempt to use the imagery of first fruits to increase the offerings from the people. As I have written in God’s Universe, God’s Rules members of an organization have a financial responsibility for the maintenance of any buildings and of course making certain the leader and their family receive a salary comparable to the average member of the worship community. Do not be deceived, this is a fiscal responsibility as a member of an organization and not tithe nor a first fruit offering. If the Levitical priesthood is once again established, then we can again offer the beginning harvest as in Ezekiel 44;30. “The best of all the firstfruits and of every contribution from all your offerings will belong to the priests. You are to give your first batch of dough to the priest, so that a blessing may rest upon your homes.”
