In Joshua 6, only the priests and men of war marched around Jericho. The rest of the people waited until the final trumpet on the seventh day to add their voices and join in the attack.
Seven priests bearing seven trumpets before the Ark of the Covenant marching around Jericho prophesied of the seven angels who sound their trumpets before the throne of God in Revelation. The seventh trumpet blast on the seventh day was a prophecy of the final trumpet that Paul wrote of in 1 Corinthians 15:52. The collapsing walls of Jericho prophesied of the fall of death and the great resurrection.

Who we are does not come from millions of years of evolution, we are by design, individuals made in the image of our Creator. We appear similar in physical features and yet we are individuals. Even identical twins are not completely identical. Who we are depends on who our Creator designed us to be. When we reject who we are, we reject our Creator. Our attitude of ungratefulness and our pride proclaims that we know more than the one who created us. Ezekiel 28;15, “Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.” This verse is often used as an example of Satan, but it is for the king of Tyrus. He was perfect until he rejected the word of the Creator… and so are we.
This series by Rabbi Sacks, 5 devotional books for the Torah portions, is phenomenal but the one on Leviticus is powerful. Highly recommend for an overview on #holiness !!!!
