I'm having a great discussion with Rick And Anita Eldridge on: "DO NOT BE UNEQUALLY YOKED WITH UNBELIEVERS". Here's my brief take for what it's worth: This Yoke IS NOT about marriage... Imagine a newly wed couple that IS equally yoked - standing in their wedding attire with a yoke around them. This image is ludicrous! Is marriage not a gift great from God? Heck ...it's the best thing that ever happened to me!! Instead this yoke is about our work relationship in this world. Don't be yoked to it! Their standards are not your standards, as a child of God. How can you be mixing what you do (Your Spirit) with theirs? Which is also something Peter Rambo has also been pointing out. So let's take an example of being unequally YOKED: A child of God signs a 1-Year contract to work for Acme corporation. The problem is that the company WILL have standards that do not match yours; they are in it for a profit. They are shaving corners and using UNJUST WEIGHTS Rhy Bezuidenhout. For example, they are selling food products that do not meet your dietary rules given to us in the Torah by Yah. etc... etc... and etc... So where does this leave us as people of a spiritual kingdom? In a difficult situation in this world! How do you support yourself!??? The answer: DO NOT yoke yourself to it (the world's way)! DO NOT SIGN that work contract! As Jesus' new commandment applies to us today -simply let your yes be yes and your no-no. [Don't bind yourself.] God's people are called out from this world to be a separate and a holy example to this world. Btw. this as far as evangelism should go. Jews never evangelize, either We are to be seen as a nation on a hill... When people see the love we have for one another they will know that it's of God! Finally, many of us are 'stuck' in this world under bondage; stuck in these worldly type jobs. We need to form entirely separate "communities" that are self supporting and have jobs to bring them to. If and when the present world's way of life crumbles (there is every indication that that is what is happening today) we shall be safe and secure and standing on our own (there is no security among the wicked). All said... strive to be separate, strive to create "communities" providing work and a place to bring God's people out. At least send your children into professions where they can be independent at this time...

Generally speaking, I agree with you and like this. Indeed, the 'unequally yoked' passage is not about marriage.. I would offer that we are a physical AND spiritual nation. The prophecies promise a physical reconstitution of kol (all) Israel, to the Land, under the headship of our King. Lots of prophecies to this end... ? and, yes, in that regard we need to take communities seriously with an eye toward functioning as clans or familial units that are ready to be part of a tribe and can network w other clans toward being echad.

So we are in agreement about a general command I hear about coming out of this world, "not stretching out our hands to 'do' evil. Hallelujah! The 'do' part is always by the spirit, or 'a' spirit weather we do good (by the holy spirit) or evil by some other spirit. A point is this: is that we know in this later time we ought to be walking by this spirit; also referred to as 'the spirit of Christ' and NOT by the letter of either law, the Dekalog or the now defunct Mosaic Law. If we are walking by the spirit we of course will always be fulfilling the Dekalog which is God's law (LOVE) which is always fulfilled if we walk in the spirit. [you need to understand this law if your people are to form a cohesive long lasting community -and that's why I am here and beginning to teach it] Now take a close look at Luke 10:26 - 37, a parable of Yeshua depicting that the written law of Moses is inadequate to accomplish God's will. The example of King David going into the temple with his men, taking an eating the show bread - which was UN-lawful according to the law of Moses, shows us the inadequacy of law in this new age of the gift of the holy spirit being given to those who are baptized into Christ (Acts 2). Now concerning physical vs spiritual kingdoms: The physical kingdom of David will be resurrected and David (spirit of) will again sit on that throne over Israel (understand John the Baptist who was Elijah). In my current understanding, just as David was seeing Christ at his right hand so too will the millennial king David who again will be ruling over physical Israel. The law of Moses WILL be re-established at that time and those people will again be under it. This is because this happens after the resurrections of those baptized into Christ - that door is then shut. We who are baptized into Christ will be raining with him and David will be seeing Christ just as he was when he said, "the Lord said to my Lord. However we who have been resurrected from the dead, to reign with Christ will not be physical. We will have imperishable bodies and that IS NOT physical, it's the opposite. We might be able to take on physical bodieS as Christ did, however we are from the point of baptism/resurrection imperishable. Of course the law is dead. It cannot accomplish what the spirit can and will, for those who are in Christ. The problem with this Torah movement, IMHO, is that they are "throwing the baby out with the bath water" to again place themselves under Moses who was temporary and strictly inferior to Yeshua. In this "NEW" covenant which god has created, we walk by the spirit - God writing his law which is LOVE in our hearts. -Mike Rhy Bezuidenhout Peter Rambo The law of Love is the greatest and will never perish (2cor 13).

Ephesians 2
12that at that time you were without Messiah, excluded from the citizenship of Yisra’ĕl and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no expectation and without Elohim in the world.
13But now in Messiah יהושע you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of the Messiah.
Jeremiah 16
19 O יהוה, my strength and my stronghold and my refuge, in the day of distress the gentiles shall come to You from the ends of the earth and say, “Our fathers have inherited only falsehood, futility, and there is no value in them.

If #israel endures, it isn't because Israel is worthy. It's because God keeps His promises. Humble yourself, repent from sin, and God will return to you.

God wants His people to prosper because that reflects well on Him, but He isn't going to stop being a righteous God just so we can prosper in our sin.
