You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet.
Matthew 5:13
Salt is salt. The only way it can lose its saltiness is if it becomes NOT salt, like sodium chlorite, a highly toxic chemical, instead of sodium chloride. But salt can also become useless by being defiled by blood or other impurities. Since #yeshua was talking to his disciples and not to unbelievers, there is a very important lesson in this for us: Don't become a toxic or defiling substance in the Body of Christ or his immune system will toss you out eventually.

Creation and sanctification are both acts of separation. God frequently creates through division: Light/dark, water/land, life/non-life, Hebrew/Egyptian, obedient/disobedient. Exodus 9
What separates God's people from Egypt's? Like Jacob and his sheep, God looks for marks. The first mark is the #sabbath. See also Isaiah 56:1-8.
