Genesis 31; 27, “Why did you run away secretly and deceive me, without even telling me? I would have sent you away with joy and singing, with tambourines and harps” The first time the word translated as “joy” is written in the Bible, it is found where Laban and Jacob are arguing. What possible lesson is found by using this word in this passage for the first time? There are actually many lessons, the article of first mention is considered the primary definition for the word. For Laban to suggest that he would have sent Jacob away joyful is the opposite of Laban’s character, using this word here may suggest that the opposite of a greedy and conniving spirit is a joyous or happy spirit. Hello my love!
A hammer is a tool that can build an idol or craft the ark of the covenant. An idol is the completed work of a misused tool and is pagan through and through. Unable to be redeemed or used for anything other than fire wood. A harp is a tool that can worship the God of #israel or be used in the pagan temple to baal. The harp is a tool, and the songs to baal are the completed work and are pagan through and through.
The #native American drum, flute, and vocalizations are tools. Tools that have been sadly used to honor evil spirits. But the one true God, the one true Creator is jealous for these instruments to be used for Him. He desires it just as much as to hear harp or guitar play for His honor. He longs to see the dance steps of the tribes move to the praises of the God of Israel.
I say all this to explain why we have chosen to play this style of music. We are claiming our instruments (Native drum and flute) as belonging to the service of #yahuwah. And believe me when I say, that the devil is NOT happy about it.

I'm now a single parent. I never wanted to be a single parent. It's not because of divorce, I'm still married. But my husband made poor choices and is now paying the penalty of such choices. He is not fighting it. He will feel the full extent. It is exactly where Yahweh needs him to be in order to reach his heart.
My depression is ... different now. I have so many little ones to raise and worry about that I have no time for my depression. As long as my husband was around, I let him watch the kids while I wallowed, but now I can't do that. I can't be depressed anymore.
The journey is only beginning! I am looking forward to doing whatever Yahweh has planned for me.
