Now John wore a garment of camel's hair and a leather belt around his waist, and his food was locusts and wild honey.
Matthew 3:4
Why did John wear camel hair clothes and a leather belt? Hair garments were a traditional uniform for prophets (Zechariah 13:4), and Elijah was known for his leather belt (2 Kings 1:8).
Blessed are You Yahuah Eloheinu, by Whose power our Adonai Yeshua is raised from the dead. In Your presence is life and eternal life. In Your power death is conquered and the gate to eternal life is opened. Blessed are You Yahuah Eloheinu, in Your presence is the fullness of joy. Adonai, make us aware of Your presence in our lives. May our worship be full of joy and awe. Give us the courage to go out to proclaim Your love and Your saving power. Adonai, as we rejoice daily in Your resurrection, strengthen TTN to tell the Good News to the whole world. Bless all who are called to teach and preach in Your Name and in the power of our risen Moshiach may they lead us all from darkness into His glorious Light. Adonai Yeshua, as we rejoice in Your risen presence, we pray that the world may know Your peace. May we all rise above division and strive, that Your victory over darkness and death may be known to all in this world. Adonai, show us the peace we should give, the peace we should share and the peace we must forgo. Risen Moshiach, You appeared to the two Mary’s and sent them to tell the disciples. Let Your Light also shine through us to show Your presence in our homes and in all our dealings. Let us walk, live and work in Your presence and seek to reveal Your glory in the world. We ask You to bless all our loved ones, families, friends and neighbours and keep us ever in Your love. We pray for all who walk in darkness and who are heavily burdened. We pray for all who has lost hope and who despair. We ask Your blessing upon all who are ill and those who can no longer cope on their own. We pray for all who are nearing death and their loved ones who are caring for them. We ask for Your grace that we may share in Your resurrection and also triumph over darkness and death. We ask Your blessings on all our loved ones, friends and family who are far from us, may they also share in Your glory. Father we pray this in the Name of Yeshua, amein.
Now as soon as Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother's brother, and the sheep of Laban his mother's brother, Jacob came near and rolled the stone from the well's mouth and watered the flock of Laban his mother's brother.
Genesis 29:10
The story of Jacob and Rachel at the well contains a metaphor of the Messiah: When Messiah's bride (Rachel) comes to him (Jacob), he rolls away the stone (of the grave) and the Spirit (the well) is released to his people (the flock). The well can also be understood as the offspring of Abraham. When the bride repents, the well of offspring is opened.
The well was uncovered for Rachel's flock. Only then could others drink. First to the Jew, then the gentile? Torah, Messiah, and Spirit were all given to the Jews first, then to the nations.
