"One of themselves, even one of their own Prophets said, The Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.
This witness is true: wherefore convince them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith."

Titus 1

The context before is relevant to this: "Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake."

For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”
Romans 9:17 ESV

Pharaoh was temporarily elevated, not because he deserved it, but because God’s judgment against him would be even more apparent because of the height from which he fell. God requires protagonists and antagonists to carry the plot of salvation to the end. One he chooses to lead his people, another he chooses to correct them, and yet another he chooses as an object lesson to the world.

This doesn't say anything about Pharaoh's eternal destiny. His election was to a role in the liberation of the Hebrews. While it seems unlikely that he had a last minute repentance as the sea closed in on him, we can't really know.

Here are some Torah Scriptures in Yeshua that contain the Apocrypha and other books such as Enoch, Jubilees and Jasher. Which one do you prefer?

Other options are regular bibles with Apocrypha such as English Standard Version, Good News, New Revised Standard Version, etc. You can also buy the Apocrypha as a separate book. Keep in mind that they will not contain Enoch, Jubilees and Jasher.

For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy.
Romans 9:15-16 ESV

This is a quote from Exodus 33:19. The context concerns choosing Moses to lead the people, allowing him to experience God’s presence, and God leading Israel through the wilderness, so that all the nations will know that they are God’s people.

Although, in principle, “election” in Romans 8-9 certainly has bearing on the salvation of each person, it isn’t directly about choosing Moses or Jacob for eternal life, but for a particular role to play in God’s plan of salvation.

This seems to be a hot topic lately (at least to me) and I finally have some thoughts to offer. Enjoy! https://afflicted4messiah.word....press.com/2025/02/02

Can We REALLY Keep The Feasts Outside Jerusalem? | Afflicted 4 Messiah

I've been confronted quite a few times over the last year over whether or not a believer can or SHOULD keep the feasts- right now, outside Jerusalem, and for me, I have the conviction that we can and we should. However, with that being said, is

I see it like a dress re-rehearsal which increases in intensity depending on how much of it you are able to fulfill.

When a man's folly brings his way to ruin, his heart rages against YHWH.
#proverbs 19:3

Fools act foolishly and then blame everyone else for their failures, but especially God.

may i reflect on the concept 'fool'. because folly is the action of a fool.
even more pertinently, because we are told by our Messiah that to say raca is not so good, but to say fool to anybody but yourself is really not good.
proverbs distinguishes between the scoffer, the wicked, and the fool.
the scoffer scoffs at God, specifically the knowledge of God. in fact, he scoffs at the very fact that God exists, thinking it not real.
the wicked is wicked precisely because he rejects the counsel of God, choosing to rebel against God's commands. consciously. and he's wicked because he DOES know God exists. conscious thereof.
and the fool ignores the wisdom to be gained by following the counsel of God.
so when one does know God exists, and one follows the commands of God, to then not exercise, or judge by, the wisdom that that should produce, well, that is what we can call folly.
so why is saying fool so bad?
who does one call a fool?
the scoffer? no, because his problem is he doesn't believe God exists at all. his problem is he scoffs.
the wicked? no, because his problem is he doesn't follow the counsel of God. his problem is he's wicked.
the fool? yes, but this is where the problem lies in calling someone a fool. who knows God exists AND follows (or claims to) His counsel? the israelite, that's who.
so condemning someone to be a fool, well, one does that only to a fellow israelite, and you had BETTER be sure of your accusation before making it, or the incorrect accusation will turn against you and you will suffer the fate you ordained by placing that person in that box.
you can't say it because it is not you who can see into the heart of that other person. that is the territory of God, and God alone.
this brings jay's quote even harsher into focus.
understanding the above, read like this
when an israelite's folly brings his way to ruin, his heart rages against YHWY.

Then he said to them, “Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For it is the one who is least among you all who is the greatest.”
