Thought for Today: Friday February 21
“YHVH is with you” – These four words are like a safety net, protecting you from falling into despair. Because you are human, you will always have ups and downs in your life experience. But the promise of Elohiym’s presence limits how far down you can go. Sometimes, you may feel as if you are in a free-fall, when people of things you had counted on, let you down. Yet, as soon as you confess that YHVH is with you, your perspective changes radically. Instead of bemoaning your circumstances, you can always turn to YHVH for help. He is not only with you, He is holding your hand, guiding you with His counsel, and afterwards He will take you into glory. Thus, the only perspective you need, is the reassurance of His presence and the glorious hope of heaven.
Jerusalem.....to which the tribes go up, the tribes of YHVH, as was decreed for Israel, to give thanks to the name of YHVH. Psalm 122:4
How good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in unity.
I was glad when they said to me, "Let us go to the house of YHVH." Our feet are standing in your gates, O Jerusalem. Jerusalem is built up as a city united together, where the tribes go up, the tribes of YHVH to give thanks to the name of YVHV. For there the thrones of judgment stand, the thrones of the house of David. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.......
All the nations you have made shall come and bow down before you, O YHVH, and shall glorify your name.
This is what YHVH says: "Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls."

Those who don’t have the firstfruits of the Spirit also groan as a part of creation, but the closer we walk in the Spirit, the greater our awareness of the effect of the curse on ourselves and on all of creation. That awareness comes with grief over the state of the world and an ever increasing longing for resolution. See Ecclesiastes 1:18.
