Thought for Today: Shabbat August 09
The slothful person is like a piece of driftwood floating effortlessly and heedlessly downstream with the current. It takes no effort, and no strength to be lost. Likewise, a drifting slothful soul, is inevitably moving towards an eternity of destruction. The sin of doing nothing – the sin of omission – is just as dangerous as any sin of action – of commission. You do not have to do anything to be lost. Just do nothing and be a slothful soul. Tragically, thousands of believers are slothful also – when it comes to prayer, worship, Bible reading/study, spreading the Gospel, helping neighbours in need, or giving time to YHVH’s work.
Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great and productive week. We've been packing house and taking care of moving details. I just got a call saying we're almost approved for a newer, bigger, better apartment. Just a couple paperwork details left. When we were first told that we had to find a new place because they are selling this building we've lived in for over 11 years, I was struck hard. I kept giving it up to Yah in prayer and praise. He is blessing us even more through this move! I am humbled by the extent of His great love for us! The sparrows and plants on my patio reminded me that He cares more for us than He does them, yet they never lack. I realized then this was a test of my faith in Him. He eased my nerves and guided our search. I know we all have our own trials to go through right now...don't give up! Keep the Faith and He will see you through. Have a wondderful, restful shabbat, ya'll!
