And [the hem with bells] shall be on Aaron when he ministers, and its sound shall be heard when he goes into the Holy Place before YHWH, and when he comes out, so that he does not die.
Exodus 28:35
There's a popular myth that the purpose of these bells was so the other priests could hear if the high priest dies while in the Holy of Holies, they'll hear the bells stop and drag him out by a rope tied around his ankle. However, the High Priest didn't wear this hem in the Holy of Holies, only in the Holy Place, where the other priests could see him plainly.
And in the breastpiece of judgment you shall put the Urim and the Thummim, and they shall be on Aaron's heart, when he goes in before the LORD. Thus Aaron shall bear the judgment of the people of Israel on his heart before YHWH regularly.
Exodus 28:30
Josephus wrote that one of the High Priest's divining stones (the urim and thumim) used to shine in God's presence, but it stopped about 100 years BC. Is this true? Nobody knows. Nobody knows much of anything at all about these two stones.
The first accusation in Amos chapter 3 is a question. Amos 3:3, “Can two walk together without agreeing where to go?” The Creator is accusing Israel of claiming to walk with Him but in reality they are going their own way and doing what they want to do, not what He asks them to do. We see the same thing today, people claim they want to serve the Almighty but they want to do it their own way, not His. They want to observe tradition and man made doctrine instead of The Creator’s instructions.

I’m making solid progress on building a Torah-exclusive Search Engine, designed to help us easily find trusted content from across the web — all focused on Torah study, teachings, and related topics.
As I work on the final stages, I find myself a bit torn on one key decision:
? Should the search engine be part of the TTN platform, keeping the name as something like https://search.ttn.place?
OR
? Should it have a completely standalone identity with a new, catchy name that could resonate with both TTN members and the broader Torah-learning community?
There are good arguments for both:
Keeping it under TTN reinforces it as part of our community ecosystem.
A unique, memorable name could make it easier to promote and attract outside users who may not know about TTN yet.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this! If you lean toward creating a standalone name, feel free to suggest domain names (bonus points if you check that they’re available first ?).
Let’s brainstorm together — this is a tool for all of us, so your input would be invaluable.
