Paul wrote that the Torah is for anyone who isn't already keeping and teaching it. If everyone were perfectly obedient, we would have no use for #torah, but if you aren't keeping it, then you still need it to teach you how to behave in God's Kingdom.

1 Timothy 1:9 is a favorite verse of those who say that the Torah doesn't apply to believers in Jesus. It's a very poorly thought out position, however, because it's contradicted by the very same verse.

Romans 1:1 ESV

Paul was saying that he was a personal possession and emissary of Yeshua due to one of three reasons: 1) He was in debt to Yeshua beyond hope of paying it back, 2) He sold himself to Yeshua to pay a debt to someone else, or 3) He was a slave for one of the two prior reasons, but voluntarily submitted to his master for life out of love.

Interesting how the lamp is dated to the end of the Second Temple period. I just listened to a message this morning where Josephus and other historians explained how Jerusalem was raised to the ground with even the foundation stones being dug up.

That is why the temple mount could be ploughed over for so many years without anyone knowing it was there.

I would assume/guess that the drainage channels would have been safe from such severe destruction as a person would be crazy to be underground while destroying the structure over your head that is keeping you safe. Bearing in mind that they most likely didn't have explosives at that time...
