Thought for Today: Sunday January 08:
May you rest peacefully, knowing that fresh mercies will greet you every morning, grace will cover you throughout each day and Elohiym’s Power will be available to you when you need it. May regret, shame and insecurities be far removed from you. May Holy confidence and humble dependence mark your life in every way.
If home is where the heart is, what does it mean to be so heavenly minded that we are no earthly good? Maybe we should adjust our thinking a bit. Instead of thinking about heaven after we die, maybe we should think about the intersection of eternity with our moment-by-moment present. We should learn as much as we can about our eternal home. It will help us bring our current reality more in line with our Eternal King’s desires.

This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: “He took our illnesses and bore our diseases.”
Matthew 8:17
Matthew quoted from the Hebrew text of Isaiah 53:4 and not from the Septuagint like most other NT quotes of the OT. Is this evidence that Matthew was originally written in Hebrew? Or only that Matthew preferred the Hebrew for this prophecy?
