This is the one who was in the congregation in the wilderness with the angel who spoke to him at Mount Sinai, and with our fathers. He received living oracles to give to us.
Acts 7:38
Stephen called the #torah "living oracles" using the same root word Yeshua used for "living God" and "living water". Like Yeshua, the Torah is only death for those who reject it.
Stephen's recollection of historical events while he was threatened by a lynch mob and false accusers in Acts 6-7 wasn't perfectly accurate, but this is evidence of the veracity of the Book of Acts. Luke had an opportunity to correct Stephen, but truth was more important, so he reported Stephen's speech as it was given, not as he might have wished it had been given.

The Acts 15 & 21 LLV119 recording is highly recommended as it explains what the text meant before its misuse and corruption by the Early Gentile 'Church'.
