Thought for Today: Shabbat October 22:
Paul looked forward to death with great anticipation. He said: [For me, to live is Moshiach and to die is gain] – Philippians 1:21. Death for him was not an enemy to be feared, but a reality to be welcomed, in Elohiym’s time. For him, death was the joyous gateway to new life – eternity in heaven. Without the resurrection of Moshiach, there could be no hope for the future. The Bible promise that someday we are going to stand face-to-face with the resurrected Redeemer. All our questions will be answered, and all our sorrows and fears will vanish.
Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God.
John 8:47
If you have hatred or wickedness in your heart, then the inclination of your heart will be hateful or wicked. If the truth of Scripture offends you, then you can know that your heart is not in alignment with God's.
