Reminder ?
And the parts we regard as less honorable are those we clothe with the greatest care. So we carefully protect those parts that should not be seen, while the more honorable parts do not require this special care. So God has put the body together such that extra honor and care are given to those parts that have less dignity. This makes for harmony among the members, so that all the members care for each other.

Thought for Today: Monday August 01:
Remember, the Creator of the universe is with you and for you every moment. What more could you need? When you feel some lack, it is because you are not connecting with Him at a deep level. He offers an abundant Life, your part is to trust in Him, refusing to worry about anything. It is not so much adverse events that makes you anxious as it is your thoughts about those events. Your mind engages in efforts to take control of a situation, to bring about the result you desire. Your thoughts close in on the problem like ravenous wolves. Determine to make things go your way, you forget that Elohim is in charge of your life. The only remedy is to switch your focus from the problem to His Presence. Stop all your striving and watch to see what He will do. He is Adonai Elohim!

It isn't healthy to stay still for long. Stagnation and atrophy are the poison fruits of a sedentary life. We must keep moving and growing throughout our lives or we'll die. This means constant learning, career advancement, greater responsibilities, spiritual growth, and seeking out challenges.
Deuteronomy 1:6-7
Devarim, the Hebrew name of Deuteronomy, means "words" and is from Deuteronomy 1:1: "These are the words..." This book used to be called Mishneh HaTorah or "repetition of the Torah". Deuteronomos, the Greek name, means "second law" and also refers to the book's recapitulation of the Law. Although it primarily contains the spoken words of Moses, Joshua or Pinchas may have acted as his scribe.
Here are some apostolic passages to study alongside #torah Parsha #devarim (#deuteronomy 1:1-3:22), plus links to commentary and related videos: https://www.americantorah.com/....2021/05/09/parsha-de
Numbers 27
15And Mosheh spoke to יהוה, saying,
16“Let יהוה, the Elohim of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,
17who goes out before them and comes in before them, who leads them out and brings them in, so that the congregation of יהוה be not like sheep without a shepherd.”
18And יהוה said to Mosheh, “Take Yehoshua son of Nun with you, a man in whom is the Spirit. And you shall lay your hand on him,
19and shall set him before El‛azar the priest and before all the congregation, and give him charge before their eyes,
20and shall put some of your esteem upon him, so that all the congregation of the children of Yisra’ĕl obey him.
Deuteronomy 34
9And Yehoshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom, for Mosheh had laid his hands on him. And the children of Yisra’ĕl listened to him, and did as יהוה had commanded Mosheh.
Numbers 11
24And Mosheh went out and spoke to the people the words of יהוה, and he gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people and placed them around the Tent.
25And יהוה came down in the cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the Spirit that was upon him, and placed the same upon the seventy elders. And it came to be, when the Spirit rested upon them, that they prophesied, but did not continue.
Acts 1
5because Yoḥanan truly immersed in water, but you shall be immersed in the Set-apart Spirit not many days from now.”
8“But you shall receive power when the Set-apart Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Yerushalayim, and in all Yehuḏah and Shomeron, and to the end of the earth.”
Acts 19
6And when Sha’ul had laid hands on them, the Set-apart Spirit came upon them, and they were speaking in tongues and prophesying.
There are those who teach that the laying on of hands for people the receive the immersion of the Set Apart Spirit was started in the Brit. And also that this no longer is a practice that we Israel are supposed to do. Messiah said you will receive power when you receive the immersion of the Set Apart Spirit.
The Israelite elders and teachers were very familiar with this and this is why they were teaching this without questioning it.
