For he shall be as a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That yields its fruit in its season, And whose leaf does not wither, And whatever he does prospers.

Just felt like posting this video we did to help bring awareness to mental health. We tend to think that medication is what we need when we are mentally ill. However, The truth is that mental illness actually speaks to a sort of spiritual illness and often times there is demonic activity at work.

I picture entering into the Sabbath like a child who gets hurt and runs to their father for comfort. After having a stressful week or even a day entering into the Sabbath is like your father giving you a big hug and wiping away your tears.

Work can be stressful
Parenting can be stressful
Straightening up the house can be stressful
Relationships can be stressful
Life can be stressful

Today just didn't go as I would have liked. I was tired all day, My stomach hurt the first few hours of waking up, I was stressed out trying to get all my hours in at work before this week is up, the kids came to me every few minutes needing something even though their daddy was home and was no where near as busy as I was. Then I didn't plan well for dinner and that caused my husband to run to the store to pick up a pizza before sundown only to get home, throw the pizza in the oven and the pizza not turn out because it was out of date by several months ?

But.... I get to take a break from this crazy life. Turn everything off.

No cooking
No working
No shopping
No running errands

Just a whole 24 hours of rest. Of peace. I get to run to my heavenly father and spend time in his presence. Let go of all the stress of this world and focus on him and his love for me ❤️

I thought of this verse while thinking all of this. Isn't it amazing that he knew our lives would be crazy? That this world would make us weary and burden us. He knew we would need this day to run into his arms like that hurt child needing comfort from our father. Oh how he loves us ?

Oops, didn't mean to hit enter... We got to the campground last night, for Sukkot (starting tomorrow night) so we could have most things set up before Sabbath and be able to enjoy it. Ugh! A rowdy Boy Scouts troop got here last night and was up, shouting, late into the night. Today, another Scouts group moved in right across from us. ??‍♀️ Last night, my thinking was that at least they'd leave Sunday... Then hubby reminded me that it's "Columbus Day" weekend. ? Is it Monday yet?!

For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John, and if you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah who is to come.
Matthew 11:13-14

The Law and the Prophets were focused on the moment of John's ministry. Not that their message ended with him, but that they all looked forward to the message he had to deliver concerning the Messiah. John came in the role and office of Elijah, calling the people to repentance and announcing the arrival of the Kingdom, as prophesied in Malachi 3-4 and by all of the preceding prophets.

From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force.
Matthew 11:12 #yeshua

John prophesied the imminent arrival of the Kingdom, and all who believed him were eagerly looking for it, eyeing every prominent rebel and preacher to see if this might be the one. This violence isn't physical or malevolent violence, but the passionate and desperate response of people to the imminent arrival of the Kingdom. Some claimed ownership, while others grabbed hold of anyone who looked like they were in charge.
