And he charged him to tell no one, but “go and show yourself to the priest, and make an offering for your cleansing, as Moses commanded, for a proof to them.”
Luke 5:14 #tazria #metzora
The leprosy left this man immediately at #Yeshua's command, but that wasn't enough to satisfy the Torah's requirements for purification.
- Yeshua commanded him to be clean, not to be healed.
- Having been cleansed by Yeshua, he was then required to keep the requirements of Torah. See Acts 15.
- Yeshua was not qualified to release him from quarantine, but he does have authority to forgive sins. See v20.
Lamentations 3
22The kindnesses of יהוה! For we have not been consumed, For His compassions have not ended.
23They are new every morning, Great is Your trustworthiness.
24 Yah is my Portion,” says my being, “Therefore I wait for Him!”
25 Yah is good to those waiting for Him, To the being who seeks Him.
26It is good – both to wait and to be silent, For the deliverance of יהוה.
40Let us search and examine our ways, And turn back to יהוה.
41Let us lift our hearts and hands To Ěl in the heavens and say:
42We, we have transgressed and rebelled.
In #galatians 5:2 Paul wrote that, "if you accept circumcision, Christ will be of no advantage to you," but then he had Timothy, a gentile by birth according to Biblical standards, circumcised before heading out to tell all of the congregations around the Empire that converted gentiles didn't need to be circumcised. Clearly he didn't mean that a gentile convert should never be circumcised under any circumstances, so what *did* he mean?

12And Elohim said, “This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for all generations to come:
13“I shall set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.
14“And it shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud,
15and I shall remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh, and never again let the waters become a flood to destroy all flesh.
16“And the rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I shall see it, to remember the everlasting covenant between Elohim and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.”
17And Elohim said to Noaḥ, “This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth.”
