<sarcasm>I don't understand why the big outcry a few years back about kids eating TidePods. I mean, Jesus made everything clean, right? And TidePods would really help in that cleaning process. </sarcasm>
Anyway, we can see in the Bible what food is listed in Leviticus 11. Not "clean and unclean food" as some translations put in the header. It lists what is and isn't food. Leviticus 11:47 NIV "You must distinguish between the unclean and the clean, between living creatures that may be eaten and those that may not be eaten." When what is food is repeated in Deuteronomy 14, it starts off in verse 3 with: "You shall not eat any abomination" - What's an abomination to eat? .... The things that aren't considered food.
As I point out in the comic, this idea of some things are food and some things aren't is one we already have. Except somewhere in the last 2,000 years we have associated all animals with food. If we take the Bible at what it says, this is not true. Just like we know not all liquids are drinkable, not all animals are for consumption.

Have you ever watched hope realized in the eyes of someone who was hopeless? I don’t mean the joy of someone who receives something physical, but the kind of hope that nothing physical can match. Hope that maybe their life isn’t as depressing as they thought, hope that is evidenced when they understand they have value. Job 6;8, “If only my request were granted and God would fulfill my hope” Job understands that’s real hope comes from his Creator. Hope is more than the empty wish that we define it as today. Hope is trusting that what is promised will absolutely happen without fail. Witnessing that realized in the eyes of someone who didn’t know how to hope is almost as exciting as experiencing hope itself.
Everyone please pray for my little brother Donald Gautreaux. I dont understand what exactly happened yet…he swallowed a 3-4 inch needle and it punctured his lung and it is right next to his heart. He is in ICU right now awaiting to be flown out somewhere for surgery. Pls pray! Pls pray Yah fills him with the Ruach on this Shavuot weekend. My brother is an army vet and has suffered tremendously with PTSD etc since coming back from Iraq years ago.
Also, Cindy Weaver, my sons Aunt is having heart surgery and my grandmother was hospitalized too yesterday, Gussie Romero. Pls pray for me and my family.
