Why would we need to move a mountain?
- During the tribulation, and the Day of the Lord, a number of worldwide cataclysmic events and disasters will take place - resulting in the destruction of many cities and the landscape across the world.
Ezekiel 38:19-20
In My zeal and in My blazing wrath I declare that on that day there will surely be a great earthquake in the land of Israel ... and all the men who are on the face of the earth will shake at My presence; the mountains also will be thrown down, the steep pathways will collapse and every wall will fall to the ground.
Revelation 16:18-19
And there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder; and there was a great earthquake, such as there had not been since man came to be upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it, and so mighty. The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell ...
- After the return of Christ and the resurrection of the saints, there will be mortal survivors of the nations (who made it through the tribulation) left to repopulate the world during the Millenial Reign.
Ezekiel 7:16
Even when their survivors escape, they will be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, each over his own iniquity.
Isaiah 66:19
I will set a sign among them and will send survivors from them to the nations: Tarshish, Put, Lud, Meshech, Tubal and Javan, to the distant coastlands that have neither heard My fame nor seen My glory. And they will declare My glory among the nations.
Joel 2:32
And it will come about that whoever calls on the name of the Lord Will be delivered; For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem There will be those who escape, As the Lord has said, Even among the survivors whom the Lord calls.
- As resurrected priests and kings over the nations, there could likely be a situation in which people or resources are trapped beneath the remains of displaced mountains - where the super human abilities of a glorified immortal would find a useful and practical application.?
1 Corinthians 13:2
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
Why is ensuring the prophecies we have tried to intemperate are correct? Because if we have misidentified these things then we are in error and may be searching after a false god. I realize that is a bold statement, Jeremiah writes in chapter 16;20, “ Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods?” When we try to force our own concepts onto the pages of the Bible we may (although unintentionally) make our own god that can not hear and will not answer. In other words, unless we diligently search for the face and the words of our Creator, we may be praying to our own idols.
Thought for Today: Sunday March 06:
YHVH wants you to experience the riches of your Salvation; the Joy of being Loved constantly and perfectly. You make a practise of judging yourself, based on how you look, behave or feel. If you like what you see in the mirror, you feel a bit more worthy of His Love. When things are going smoothly and your performance seems adequate, you find it easier to belief you are His beloved child. When you feel discouraged, you tend to look inward so you can correct whatever is wrong. Instead of trying to fix yourself, fix your eyes on Him, the Lover of your soul. Rather than using your energy to judge yourself, redirect it to Praise Him. Remember that He see you clothed in His Righteousness, radiant in His Perfect Love.
