A new Edition of The
Lawful Literal Version
LLV Bible is out now!
…a work in progress with over 70,000 improvements so far!
The whole text of LLV345 70,000 Reasons Edition:
As far as the translator is aware, every name is now spelled with the aim of accurately reflecting the correct, historical pronunciations of these historical names according to modern phonetic English-alphabet transcription, e.g. ‘y’ not ‘j’ for the sound at the start of ‘yellow’, ‘w’ not ‘v’ for the sound at the start of ‘water’. The transcriptions in the LLV are aimed to be better than those of any English translation of Scripture made so far, because they consider not only the pointings of the medieval Hebrew texts but also the older transcriptions in Greek and Latin letters.

FROM THIS WEEK’S TORAH PORTION – MISHPATYM:
“Do not afflict any widow or an orphan.”
Who is a widow or an orphan in this picture? Do you know? Can you tell? Are you sure? If not, beware:
“If they cry out to Me at all, I shall certainly hear their cry, and My wrath shall burn and I shall kill you with the sword, your wives shall be widows and your children fatherless.”
FROM THIS WEEK’S TORAH PORTION – MISHPATYM:
Please notice that there are no “if’s, ands or buts” in this commandment. Even Paul of Tarsos, when abused by the wicked high priest of his day, repented of this sin:
“And Sha’ul, looking intently at the council, said, ‘Men, brothers, I have lived in all excellent conscience before Elohim until this day!’ And the high priest Ḥananyah commanded those who stood by him to strike him on the mouth. Then Sha’ul said to him, ‘Elohim is going to strike you, whitewashed wall! And do you sit judging me according to the Torah, and do you command me to be struck contrary to the Torah?’ And those who stood by said, ‘Do you revile the high priest of Elohim?’ And Sha’ul said, ‘I did not know, brothers, that he was the high priest, for it has been written, “You shall not curse the ruler of your people.”’”
Nothing you say can change this command or justify breaking it.
FROM THIS WEEK’S TORAH PORTION – MISHPATYM:
“And I shall set your border from the Sea of Reeds to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the River, for I shall give the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you. Do not make a covenant with them nor with their mighty ones. Let them not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against Me when you serve their mighty ones, when it becomes a snare to you.”
For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly...But a Jew is one inwardly...by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God.
Romans 2:28-29 ESV
The word Jew comes from Yehudah, which means "praised". He who has a circumcised heart is truly praised of God, not someone who is merely physically circumcised.
This doesn't mean that one born a Jew isn't really a Jew. Paul was speaking metaphorically, playing on the root meaning of Yehudah. He wasn't saying God had rejected the genetic descendants of either Jacob or Judah.
Then he who is physically uncircumcised but keeps the law will condemn you who have the written code and circumcision but break the law.
Romans 2:27 ESV
A gentile who keeps the Law in his heart is better than a Jew who is properly circumcised but doesn't follow the rest of the Law. Imperfect obedience in faith is better than obedience to the letter of the law without real faith.
Everybody who prayed at the inauguration either cited or referenced the Old Testament. Keep doing that. Genesis to Revelation to the Kingdom, brothers and sisters!
