God put forward Christ Jesus as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.
Romans 3:25
Propitiation means a cleansing or wiping away. Septuagint uses it to refer to the kiporet of the Ark of the Covenant. But his blood doesn’t just cover over sins. It removes them. See Rev 7:14. This forgiveness shows God’s righteousness, because only one who is perfectly sinless could be qualified to completely remove all sin, unlike animal sacrifices which only temporarily covered them over.

Psalm 101:5, “Whoever slanders his neighbor in secret, I will put to silence; the one with haughty eyes and a proud heart, I will not endure.” This verse in most English translations may appear as though we should confront someone for speaking lies, it is more about not repeating gossip or remaining in the presence of the boastful. When no one is present to hear the gossip or the ranting of the arrogant, they will eventually be silent.
Shalom aleichem! Silver Trumpet Ministries will once again be gathering this coming Shabbat (saturday) at the residence of Hein & Gerda Zentgraf in Henley on Klip from 09:30. This week we will study parashat b'har (on the mountain), from the third book, Leviticus. Please note that the study is mainly in Afrikaans, but we are also fully conversant in the English vernacular. Prepare from Torah: Vayiqra (Leviticus) 25:1 tot 26:2, Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 32:6-27, Luka (Luke) 4:16-21; Galatians 5:1-13; you are welcome to bring your questions to the table for discussion.
For people outside the Vaal Triangle, we offer a remote gathering via the Jitsi platform, a free application that works on computers and smartphones. We send the link out at 09:30 via our Telegram group, YAH's Festivals, or on request. Coffee and tea will be supplied and every family is welcome to contribute something light to eat. We request, however, that special diets, such as gluten intolerance and diabetes are kept in mind. Please contact us on Telegram 0837745609 or Whatsapp 0846743400. To the esteem of YAH!
