On this date in history, 11/03/1979: Six members of the KKK and American Nazi Party open fire on a Communist Party "Death to the Klan" rally in Greensboro, North Carolina. In the ensuing gun battle, five communists were killed and seven wounded. The FBI helped plan the attack, while the BATF supplied the weapons. The Klansmen and Nazis were acquitted on the grounds of self-defense. #otd #tdih
