WORD FOR TODAY “is HE your refuge?”: Isa 25:4 For You have been a defense for the helpless, A defense for the needy in his distress, A refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat; For the breath of the ruthless Is like a rain storm against a wall.

SPOKEN VERSE FOR TODAY: Pro 27:3 A stone is heavy and the sand weighty, But the provocation of a fool is heavier than both of them.

“Faith comes by hearing” positive frequencies spoken out loud hourly.

Mankind is separated by culture, race, religion and the list goes on. While some diversity can be good to introduce new ideas we have allowed diversity to divide us instead of uniting us. Exodus 19:5 — 6, “So now obey me and keep my agreement. Do this, and you will be my own possession, chosen from all nations. Even though the whole earth is mine, you will be my kingdom of priests. You will be a nation that belongs to me alone.’ You must tell the Israelites these words.” Our Creator offers us a way to be united with each other and with Him because He makes this offer available to everyone willing to choose Him.

Question

Are you interested in owning and moderating a women’s-only group on TTN? I believe there’s a real need for a space like this, and we have to start somewhere!

The vision for this group is to provide a supportive and welcoming environment where ladies can connect, share, and grow together. Hosting a weekly meet-up would be a wonderful way to welcome new members and foster meaningful conversations.

If you know of an existing group that aligns with this vision and would be interested in joining TTN, please let me know—I’d love to extend an invitation!

This group wouldn’t be about promoting a specific doctrine but rather about creating a comfortable platform where women can freely share and support one another.

If this resonates with you, let’s make it happen!

Great idea! Just keep nosey men away and let the ladies have a time of their own.

Question

Q173: What did Elisha instruct Naaman to do to be healed of his leprosy?

(This is more of a discussion subject as there is a traditional way of thinking, but the timeline of events indicates otherwise.)

#quiz #elisha

PS: Discussions are very welcome, but please do not give the answer away in your discussions.

Hint: 2 Kings 5

Pray and fast for three days
Offer sacrifices in the temple
Dip seven times in the Jordan River
Pour oil over his body

Thought for Today: Wednesday January 01 2025

We can let go of burdens like condemnation and worry, perfectionism and insecurity. And we can cling desperately—even through tears—to the assurance that YHVH knows, He cares, and He loves us with an infinite love. We can lay our burdens at the feet of our Moshiach and receive what He offers instead.

FROM THIS WEEK’S TORAH PORTION – BO

Darkness

What kind of "darkness" is it that can be “felt?”

“Look, the hand of YHWH has not become too short to save, nor His ear too heavy to hear. But your crookednesses have separated you from your Elohim. And your sins have hidden His face from you, from hearing. For your hands have been defiled with blood, and your fingers with crookedness; your lips have spoken falsehood, your tongue mutters unrighteousness. No one calls for righteousness, and no one pleads for truth. They trust in emptiness and speak worthlessness; they conceive trouble and bring forth wickedness. They have hatched adders’ eggs and they weave the spider’s web. Whoever eats their eggs dies, and when one is broken an adder is hatched. Their webs do not become garments, nor do they cover themselves with their works. Their works are works of wickedness, and a deed of violence is in their hands. Their feet run to evil, and they hurry to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are thoughts of wickedness, wasting and ruin are in their highways. The way of peace they have not known, and there is no judgment in their ways. They have made crooked paths for themselves, whoever treads in them shall not know peace. Therefore, judgment has been far from us, and righteousness does not reach us. We look for light, but there is darkness; for brightness, but we walk in thick darkness! We feel for the wall like the blind, and we feel as without eyes. At noon we stumble as at twilight, in deserted places, like the dead. All of us growl like bears, and moan sadly like doves. We look for judgment, but there is none; for deliverance, but it is far from us. For our transgressions have increased before You, and our sins witnessed against us. For our transgressions are with us, and as for our crookednesses, we know them: transgressing, and being untrue to YHWH, and turning away from our Elohim, speaking oppression and apostasy, conceiving and pondering words of falsehood from the heart.”

“For what partnership has righteousness and lawlessness? And what fellowship has light with darkness? And what agreement has Messiah with Beliya’al? Or what part does a believer have with an unbeliever? And what union has the Dwelling Place of Elohim with idols? For you are a Dwelling Place of the living Elohim, as Elohim has said, ‘I shall dwell in them and walk among them, and I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people. Therefore, Come out from among them and be separate,’ says YHWH, ‘and do not touch what is unclean, and I shall receive you. And I shall be a Father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to Me,’ says YHWH the Almighty.”

FROM THIS WEEK’S TORAH PORTION - BO

What kind of “Light” did the children of Yisrael have?

“And YHWH said to Moshe, ‘Stretch out your hand toward the heavens, and let there be darkness over the land of Mitsrayim, even a darkness which is felt.’ And Moshe stretched out his hand toward the heavens, and there was thick darkness in all the land of Mitsrayim for three days. They did not see one another, nor did anyone rise from his place for three days, but all the children of Yisrael had light in their dwellings.”

“Beloved, I write no fresh command to you, but an old command which you have had from the beginning. The old command is the Word which you heard from the beginning. Again, I write you a fresh command, which is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light now shines. The one who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in the darkness until now. The one who loves his brother stays in the light, and there is no stumbling-block in him. But the one who hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.”
