This podcast episode hits on the question I often point out about the importance of maintaining the integrity of the Hebrew culture of the Text of Scripture.
The difference between foreignization or domestication.
Most Bible translations domesticate the Text or are versions based on already domesticated translations.
Even the gentleman presenting this message has embraced the domesticated aspects without realizing it. Details such as “God, Christ, Jesus, Lord, etc.”
Nevertheless, his explanation of the translation trouble is expertly delivered. Maybe this will help explain the issue more clearly.
