"Through Jesus Christ" - Yeshua is the mediator of the New Covenant and the only way to the Father. Our prayers are directed to the Father, but through the mediation, righteousness, and authority of Yeshua. That doesn't mean that the Son isn't God, but that he is the conduit through which we connect to the Father.
The destruction of all life on earth is presented in a chiastic structure in Genesis 7, bracketed by water and centered on death.

It's impossible to build a boat (or a space ship!) big enough to escape God's wrath. Obedience alone didn't save Noah. Grace alone didn't save him either. God's grace provided him with a means of escape. Obedience enabled him to make the escape good.
