Can a man carry fire next to his chest and his clothes not be burned?
#proverbs 6:27
"Clothes" are a metaphor of a man's authority and position in his family and community. Destroying another man's house through adultery is just as likely to destroy his own.
Uriah in the Bible was Hittite, one of the nations that God commanded be put under the ban during Joshua’s conquest.
And yet God avenges the death of Uriah by David. Why? Because although by blood he was Hittite, but by allegiance and adoption was Israelite.
When we place faith in Yeshua as Messiah, we too can claim this adoption.
Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and were ministering to him.
Matthew 4:11
The angels were waiting patiently for the contest between Yeshua and Satan to run its course. Like Joseph and Daniel, Yeshua and the angels knew how it would end, but also knew the game had to be played out.
There's a phenomena in our movement where people begin to doubt Paul as an Apostle or, worse, think he's opposed to the Messiah. This rejection of Paul often leads to the rejection of Yeshua and the New Covenant altogether. This message equips you to understand Paul and explains that we do not make sense at all without his writings. Please listen to this and share, particularly with anyone considering abandoning him and the New Covenant.

Listen to your father who begot you and do not despise your mother when she is old.
Proverbs 23:22 TLV
This proverb points to two important principles about honoring your parents. Of course, you should listen to both of your parents and despise neither of them when they are old, but especially honor your father by listening to his advice and obeying him when you are young, and especially honor your mother by caring for her when she is old. There is no greater shame than a wealthy man whose mother is destitute and alone.

On this date in history, 12/04/1777: The Battle of White Marsh, Pennsylvania, begins and lasts through December 8th. #otd #tdih #americanrevolution https://www.historycarper.com/....1777/12/24/skirmish-
When I was a teenager, the teen group at church that I went to would often have us go out "witnessing" on weekend nights on one of the main roads in the city, Valley Mills. Valley Mills was where all the older teens and young adults in the area would hang out. Cars cruising up and down the road. Cars with hoods up and people gathered around in parking lots. People just standing around. It was a bigger city and I haven't seen anything close since except a car show here and there, but none of those are even to the scale of what this was.
We would walk up and down the road and stop at every group. Ask them: how their night was; have they heard of Jesus; did they know God has a plan for them. I don't ever remember any of the conversations lasting more than a couple of minutes. I don't remember any of the people we talked to ever showing up at church. I don't remember anything from those times being productive for the Kingdom at all, in my opinion.
Sure, you might say: You're telling people about Jesus, that's productive. In a country that started out with people of faith (the pilgrims) then moved on to being established by people of faith (the founding fathers), that has a section literally called "The Bible Belt", we see TV Shows and movies either mimic or mock Bible stories, how do we think that people haven't heard of Jesus?
The problem isn't that people haven't heard of Jesus. It's they haven't seen Jesus. In the next comics, that is what I want to focus on in this commentary.
There is a dcTalk song that has a quote at the start of it:
"The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians, who acknowledge Jesus with their lips, and walk out the door, and deny him with their life style.
That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable."
