FROM THIS WEEK’S TORAH PORTION – KY THEITZEI:
The Least of the Commandments
“When you come upon a bird’s nest along the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, with the mother sitting on the young or on the eggs, do not take the mother with the young – let the mother go without fail, and take the young for yourself, so that it might be well with you, and that you shall prolong your days.”
“Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to complete. For amein, I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one yod or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done. Whoever, then, breaks one of the least of these commands, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of the heavens; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of the heavens.”
From this week’s Torah portion – Ky Theitzei:
“Do not twist the judgment of a stranger or the fatherless, nor take the garment of a widow. But you shall remember that you were a slave in Mitsrayim, and that YHWH your Elohim ransomed you from there. Therefore, I am commanding you to do this word.”
Who is a widow, orphan or sojourner in this picture? Do you know? Can you tell? If not, beware:
“If they cry out to Me at all, I shall certainly hear their cry, and My wrath shall burn and I shall kill you with the sword, your wives shall be widows and your children fatherless.”
FROM THIS WEEK’S TORAH PORTION – KY THEITZEI:
Do you, or don’t you?
“Make tassels on the four corners of the garment with which you cover yourself.”
“And YHWH spoke to Moshe, saying, ‘Speak to the children of Yisra’el, and you shall say to them to make tzitzith on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and to put a thread of blue in the tzitzith of the corners. And it shall be to you for a tzitzith, and you shall look upon it, and shall remember all the commands of YHWH and shall do them, and not go after your own heart and your own eyes after which you used to go astray, so that you remember, and shall do all my commands, and be set-apart unto your Elohim. I am YHWH your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, to be your Elohim. I am YHWH your Elohim.’”
If not, why not? It’s a commandment.

Misquoting a verse is one thing, completely changing the translation as an editing decision is another. Compare these verses; Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” NIV And “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” KJV Which one is the closest to the original Hebrew? The KJV, the different being our Creator has something in His mind for us to bring us peace not prosperity and we have the free will to choose evil instead.
Thought for Today: Tuesday September 02
You can seldom argue a person into the Kingdom of YHVH. That is because the real reason for disbelief in Elohiym usually has nothing to do with logic. It has to do with their emotions and their will. In other words, people sometimes do not belief in YHVH because they do not want to believe --- and the reason of not wanting to believe, is that many times they want their own will be done. We must do our best to answer – with gentleness and respect – any questions we are asked, even when we think it is not sincere or it is only meant to put us on the spot. But the most important thing we can do is to show by our life and love that Yeshua is real.
And the voice came to him again a second time, “What God has made clean, do not call common.”
Acts 10:15 ESV
"Don't call common" Common = koinos, not akathartos.
Peter's vision was about people, not food. God made Cornelius clean. Jewish halakha made him common, but God overruled the traditions of men that put divisions between Jew and Gentile in his house.
