If you want to understand prophecy, history, and where the world is going, the Biblical Holy Day called the 8th Day is a very good place to start!

Messianic Torah Portion Shmini - First Century Christianity

Messianic Torah Portion Shmini addresses the 8th day, which is a remarkably significant concept for Christianity and prophecy.

regarding the eighth day, in john's gospel, end of ch 8, we come across the woman caught in the act of adultery.
this passage is already interesting in that it 'floated' around before settling down at the end of ch 8, but now it's positioning is fixed, as such.
(i interpret that to mean the understanding of it is intended for us in these 'latter days'
if you look at what's going on before, this is happening on the eighth day of the feast. that's the second interesting.
and then the Son actually writes. when (a representer of) the Father writes (on the wall, for instance) in scripture, this is always very significant. third interesting.

(I really wish Bible translators had a better term than "unclean". The concept has nothing to do with being dirty. It's more about association with death. I also wish theologians would quit equating atonement with salvation.)

"Blood of purifying" in #leviticus 12:4 uses the Hebrew word for ritually clean (tahor), so the blood removes or covers something that is ritually unclean (tamei). Does the blood of circumcision partly atone for the uncleanness of birth? A woman remains in tamei longer if she has a girl (80 days) than if she has a boy (40 days). Perhaps this isn't because girls are more "unclean" or anything like that, but because the circumcision of the boy allows that period of separation to be shortened. Speculation.

There are two or three blood atonements in Leviticus 12 after the birth of a child, depending on whether it is male or female:
1) Mother's blood
2) Circumcision (male only)
3) Sacrifice

Psalm 44:20 — 21, “If we had forgotten the name of our God or spread out our hands to a foreign god, would not God have discovered, since He knows the secrets of the heart?” How we pronounce the name of our Creator is not the topic or point for this. Instead, David specifically writes there is a name for our God and even if that name is forgotten, He will see in our heart and know if we are trying to worship Him or something different.

Jerry Mitchell thank you for posting this! Hopefully, it will quiet the Name debate.

Agreed. Simularly I'm also thinking about the passage in revelation 19 . Regarding Messiah's name: verse 12 ... having a name that had been written, which no one had perceived except himself.... verse 13 and his name is called the word of YHWH ... verse 16 and on his robe and on his banner he has a name written: sovereign of sovereigns and adon of masters.

Thought for Today: Sunday April 27

Immigrants from different countries are shown the “welcome mat” … But many times, they may find themselves victims of discrimination, rejection or intolerance. The Bible says that we all are “aliens and strangers in the world” (1 Peter 2:11). Our customs, our goals, our ways and our ways are different. And as followers of our Moshiach, we find ourselves scorned, rejected and even persecuted. If that is the case, we should not be surprised. Yeshua warned us: “If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you” (John 15:20) But never forget, as believer, you are a citizen of the Kingdom of YHVH. And some day you will be home!
