My wife and I celebrated our anniversary on Wednesday. I stayed single for a long time before we married and I prayed to God that if he would allow me to remarry that it would be within his will. I had counseled with a pastor about it a while back and also with a brother in the Lord. God would not let me remarry unless it was right. I also knew it had to be an equal yolk. My situation allowed me to remarry and my wife's situation allowed her to remarry. Every relationship has speed bumps. My wife and I are no different. But we've come a long ways and even just in the last year a lot of things have improved. Our relationship is flourishing and everything along the way shows that God put us together and blessed this.
“Yes sir, no sir, please and thank you” are simple and easy words that mean a great deal. Growing up, I was taught there is no excuse for bad manners or not showing respect for others (especially those much older than I). Proverbs 20:29, “The glory of young men is their strength, and gray hair is the splendor of the old.” One exercise that everyone is able to do that builds the strength of our character is to shoe respect for others.
Thought for Today: Thursday July 17
Do not be afraid to challenge your non-believing friends and family members, to read the Gospels and learn about Yeshua for themselves. YHVH can use it to break down their barriers and lead them in His righteousness. Also keep praying for them. You cannot change their hearts and minds, but YHVH can. Ask Him to awaken your family and friends to their need in the Moshiach. Finally, be a good witness in the way you live. Actions speak louder than words so, let our Moshiach’s Love and peace shine through you, it is way better than just a testimony.
