Proverbs 2:5
It is impossible to comprehend God without diligent study. You cannot simply feel or reason your way to understanding him. You need to follow the prescription outlined in the preceding verses 1-4 with the understanding that the words, commandments, and knowledge are those of God and God-fearing people who already know him. The wisdom and advice of unbelievers will tend to lead you farther from the truth, not closer.
