Thought for Today: Monday October 31:

Let us close our eyes, open our ears and listen to the Love Song Elohiym is constantly singing to us. You will hear His voice: [I take great delight in you… I rejoice over you with singing…]. The voices of this world are a cacophony of chaos, pulling us this way and that way. Do not listen to those voices; rather, challenge them with the Word and Laws of YHVH. Learn today to take regular breaks from the world, finding a place where you can be still in His Presence and listen to His Voice. There are immense hidden treasures to be found through listening to YHVH’s Voice. Although He pours out blessings upon us always, some of His Richest blessings have to be actively sought. He Loves to reveal Himself to us and our seeking hearts open us up to receive more of His disclosure. [Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you.]

New series starting tomorrow! Torah 4 Churchies! A newbie's guide to why so many Christians are now observing Torah as part of their walk with Jesus.

This was inspired by a couple in our Bible Study group over a nickname they gave one of my books. I want to take this series to look at the path I went down when I came to this walk. What Scripture says about this path. And some of the road bumps that I see happening to believers as they start down it.

Jeremiah 6:16
Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

Authority Relationships in the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 20:25-28)

Yeshua said that he came to serve and not be served. He is the King, which means he's in charge, so what does that really mean? Yeshua serves his bride (the citizens of the Kingdom) by 1) sacrificing his own life for hers, 2) teaching and guiding her, and 3) being her king. This pattern is an example for all leaders to follow. Family, government, military, business, etc. But especially families.

There's a lot of disagreement about what Paul meant by wives submitting to their husbands in Ephesians 5:21-30, but it seems to me that Yeshua's example makes it crystal clear.

I could really use some insight and Biblical advice...
Our homeschooled family participates in a "Christian" homeschool co-op on Mondays. We don't normally leave the house for anything other than church service (before coming to Sabbath observance) on "Halloween". I have gone back and forth about making an exception for co-op, tomorrow, but feel Satan really messing with my family very recently. I was have weird dreams and hearing things throughout the night and then seeing visions all morning. It took me hours to realize that the shadows I kept seeing weren't really there and to process what was causing them. Then, my 8 year old came down borderline in tears because something was inexplicably moving in her room and she thought her brother was messing with her (but he was downstairs at the time).

It was at that time that I explained the very realness of the spirit world and it's connection to this time of year, how people still practice witchcraft and evil things and how those of us who are very strong in our faith are under constant attack. We took time to pray and discuss the situation and how we are protected by Yah and that when we are afraid or uncertain, we need only talk to and trust in Him.

At this point, I am not concerned with the co-op doing anything pertaining to the holiday, as they have made it very clear that it is not allowed there. I am, however, unsure about leaving home and further exposing our family to things outside of our home on this day. My husband is very trusting in whatever decision I make about this but, given how Satan has been attacking me personally, I am questioning my every decision and wondering if he is just trying to scare me into keeping us home. I would really appreciate prayer in Biblical insight.

Trust your gut. Stay home. Do something special with your kids. Picnic in the living room, breakfast for dinner, start planning for Chanukah-if you celebrate it.. but stay within your sphere of protection..

Update: We did decide to go and I'm glad that we did. We attended co-op on Feast of Trumpets, taking special care not to put ourselves in a position of working and not straying into stores or conflicting circumstances so it seemed wrong to give special power to this day by not going. I also think that it made a big difference that my husband was able to go with us! We did make a point of departing early, however, when a particular adult was pulling out demonic games, such as Pokemon and Treasure Island, at the end of the day. This particular adult was also in costume, despite the rules and not a particularly positive influence on the kids. Thankfully, I was told today that she is moving soon and won't be a co-op next session. ??

49“Thus shall it be at the end of the age: the messengers shall come forth, and separate the wicked out of the midst of the righteous,

50and shall throw them into the furnace of fire – there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”

Mathew 13

Now that's a rude awakening. The wicked will be amongst the Righteous, the camp of Israel. That is why we must constantly examine ourselves, to be sure that we are in the faith, The Way.
