“Then the kingdom of the heavens shall be compared to ten maidens who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five foolish. Those who were foolish, having taken their lamps, took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their containers with their lamps. Now while the bridegroom took time, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight a cry was heard, ‘See, the bridegroom is coming, go out to meet him!’ Then all those maidens rose up and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us of your oil, because our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, indeed, there would not be enough for us and you. Instead, go to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut. And later the other maidens also came, saying, ‘Master, Master, open up for us!’ But he answering, said, ‘Amein, I say to you, I do not know you.’
Watch therefore, because you do not know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Adam is coming.”
This parable and all of Matthew 25 are, and always have been, about the "Ten Days of Awe" beginning with Yom Teruah and ending with Yom Kippur. The “ten maidens” are the 10 days. The “oil” is the righteous works and faith each person had in their lifetime. At the end of the Temple service on Yom Kippur in scriptural times, its gate was slowly, and meaningfully, "shut."
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Master, Master,’ shall enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but he who is doing the desire of My Father in the heavens. Many shall say to Me in that day, ‘Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and done many mighty works in Your Name?’ And then I shall declare to them, ‘I never knew you, depart from Me, you who work lawlessness!’”
Are you awake? I mean REALLY AWAKE? Are you prepared? Are you ready for the coming of your King?
“Slumberer! Do not soundly sleep now! Abandon your tiredness. Distance yourself from the sinful ways of people and behold the ways of your lofty One. Hasten to worship the Rock who preceded all, as the illuminating stars hasten.
It is enough for you; why do you soundly sleep? Arise and call to your Elohym!”
Why is #marriage in America in such terrible shape today? Hint: It's not because of homosexuality or no-fault divorce.
https://soilfromstone.blogspot.....com/2007/11/divorce
When a man takes a wife and marries her, if then she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some indecency in her, and he writes her a certificate of #divorce and puts it in her hand and sends her out of his house, and she departs out of his house...
#deuteronomy 24:1 #marriage
"Some indecency" isn't just something that the man dislikes. It's also not the same Hebrew word normally translated "unclean". Rather, it implies something sexually indecent, yet still short of provable adultery.

WORD FOR TODAY “you make the choice”: Luk 16:13 "No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth."
SPOKEN VERSE FOR TODAY: Pro 29:13 The poor man and the oppressor have this in common: The LORD gives light to the eyes of both.

Exodus 3:7, “The LORD said, “I have indeed seen the affliction of My people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their oppressors, and I am aware of their sufferings.” The Israelites while in Egypt were surrounded by false gods and idols, but they know that asking those for help was useless because they cannot answer. Don’t be afraid to ask and don’t be afraid to verify the answer you receive. Even Gideon wanted to be certain he was listening to the Creator and not to his own heart.
