Yeshua saved us from our sins so that we could be able to live by His Father’s instructions.
Salvation wasn’t supposed to be a one and done affair.
You can’t earn it by obedience because it is only needed as a result of your disobedience. If you had obeyed thered be nothing to be saved from.
Yet neither does salvation validate your continued disobedience.
He saved you from your past disobedience and its consequences. And from your future disobefience and its consequences.
So stop saying you don’t need to be obedient because you have salvation.
If that’s your attitude towards your Saviour, you better check the tag on your salvation to make sure it doesn’t say MADE IN CHINA. It sounds cheap after all.

#deuteronomy 28 spends a lot of ink on curses for disobedience, but little on blessings for obedience. Perhaps this has to do with the ambiguous and subjective nature of many blessings.
The light of God desires to shine through us into the world, but it can't if we are only focused on ourselves. The ultimate goal of every righteous man must be to become an effective conduit of God's Light into his community and even the whole world.

The Upsidedown Kingdom
And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them, “If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.”
Mark 9:35
The Kingdom is not a competition. Our King neither engages in, nor honors court intrigues. The one who rises to the top will be the one who humbles himself in service to others.
