Apologies to everyone, including Abigail for the inapropriate emojis. My thumbs never aim right on my phone!
The recipe for salvation was given in Acts 2. This is the dividing line between the Old Covenant and the New. The Spirit guided Peter's words and allowed the message to be heard in all the languages present. The recipe for salvation was given. Repent of your sins, accept Yeshua as the Messiah/Son of God, and be baptized if you want to be in the kingdom. This is the Gospel that was preached to the known world from that moment on. Blessed be YHVH for sending His Son to redeem all mankind who will accept the Messiah!
Do we always have to choose a side? Yes, and no. It's important for God's people to be on His side. The problem is, He often has His people on different sides of an issue or a conflict. That's the problem of living in exile in a fallen world. Until His Kingdom is fully established, we have to navigate impossible situations created by the endless jostling of the world's kingdoms against one another and against the Kingdom of our God.

Should we apply Deuteronomy 19:15—21 which describes the necessity of more than one witness to other circumstances? According to Matthew 18:15—18 we should. The idea of finding as many witnesses as possible for any circumstance is how we verify many things and that should include verifying scripture as well. When our Creator tells us the same thing more than two or three times, we should consider that fact and truth, no matter who might disagree with it.
Lily Portion for Today: Shabbat January 06
There is no comfort stronger than the certainty that the love of YHVH will embrace you in all your distressing circumstances. (Prayer: Abba Elohiym, grant me the grace to look away from myself and to see our Moshiach and the needs of others. Grant me the grace to share my love so liberally that Yeshua will be revealed through my life, amein.)
