Shabbat shalom, y'all!

Why was Moses so angry about the Hebrews asking for water in Exodus 17:2-5? Maybe they wouldn't have despaired if he had responded with peace and confidence. In v5 God responded by telling Moses to walk out in front of the people who wanted to stone him: a real show of confident leadership.

I'm really looking forward to Shabbat. Our local recovery community lost two people in as many weeks. One to overdose and one to suicide. Although I did not personally know them since I am a transplant and don't have a long history here, it still impacts. My heart breaks over this stuff.
