That was a nice long weekend. I'm having trouble saying good bye to it. ?

#deuteronomy 29:11 speaks of sojourners who chop wood and draw water. It reminds me of the Gibeonites in Joshua 9: foreign woodcutters and water bearers dedicated to God's service. If wood is a metaphor of flesh and water of spirit, what does this mean?

Three things are too wonderful for me; four I do not understand: the way of an eagle in the sky, the way of a serpent on a rock, the way of a ship on the high seas, and the way of a man with a virgin.
Proverbs 30:18-19 ESV

These four things move without visible means of propulsion and leave no obvious trace once they have passed. If most people even notice, that thought also passes without a trace.

However, their powers and paths are discernible with careful consideration and attention to detail. The knowledge and wisdom derived from the study gives the student powers over the world that other people can only wonder at.
