Everyone gets triggered when other people cross their personal boundaries. When that happens, the results can be unpleasant, and sometimes lead to unintended consequences. If that's the way it is when we trespass human boundaries, what happens when we trespass God's boundaries?

When gathering information and compiling facts and figures there is always a chance for a mistake. To prevent a fatal error scientists will always go over their findings several times and yet even if all of their calculations are correct anreven if all of the evidence leads to a certain conclusion; if the information used was inaccurate their findings are wrong. This can happen when studying the Bible as well. Mark 7:19, “ For it doesn’t go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.)” The parentheses note that phrase was added to the original, it is the translator or the editor who added to what was given and it makes this statement inaccurate and leads many to a wrong conclusion.

As far as I know, only the NIV has this erroreous doctrine added in.

This is the kind of stuff I'm glad I don't normal allow to be added to my posts...
I posted something about Sabbath, and I don't know if this guy is joking or not, but he replied,

"I've heard many legalistic arguments re: "the Sabbath" ... personally I believe that's Old Testament stuff.
I believe in the New Covenant; that once we have entered Christs' rest every day is the Sabbath, When we get to Heaven every day will be "Christmas" - Amen."

If he's sincere, where do I start with such a person? Rhetorical question. I'm just venting something that might amuse you.
* "Old Testament stuff", what? like loving God and loving one's neighbour, and 'thou shalt not murder'?
* "every day is the Sabbath"... where's that bit written?!
* "When we get to Heaven"... Where's that getting to Heaven bit in the Bible?
* "Every day will be Christmas"... Where is Christmas in the Bible, and what the sigma would every day being Christmas even mean? Are we stuck with baby Jesus popping out of Mary's womb every day, or is there something deep and spiritual I'm missing here?!
* "- Amen"... No, I don't think anything you said here is firm at all! Haleelah, not so!

Just an addition - "legalistic" as opposed to illegalistic?

My test to determine whether the New Covenant is already with us is "do we still have any disagreements about Torah?"

If we do, then we don't have Torah written on our hearts.

If we still have to teach each other Torah then we don't have it written on our hearts.

So how can a person believe the New Covenant is in place if the signs of the New Covenant is missing in our lives??? ?

Hebrews 4 says that the 7th day of creation sabbath day still remains.
In mark it says that the sabbath is created for man, not just jews or just Israel.

Thought for Today: Shabbat July 27

You will get through this waiting room season of your life just fine. Pay careful attention and you will detect the most wonderful surprise. Our Doctor will step out of His office and take the seat next to yours. "Just thought I would keep you company while you are waiting." Not every physician will do that, but yours will. After all, He is the Great Healer.

OOMs
~

A thin band of grimness tightened over the scale, the single fish's scale. The underground was wrapped like a present. Through the tunnels drew near a well-tied shoe and a half, but a wire caught all but one, and let the rest to the crashing ground.
With a bend of the flicker the man made it all ready to be gone.
