Leviticus 23:5—6, “The Passover to the LORD begins at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month. On the fifteenth day of the same month begins the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the LORD. For seven days you must eat unleavened bread.” Passover is an event that really only lasts as long as it takes to eat a meal. The Feast of Unleavened Bread is the actual feast that would last for the seven day period. Today however most people think of Passover as the week long feast.

There is no doubt that death and danger only bring us nearer to our Creator. (Prayer: Adonai, please strengthen my family’s faith. Thank You that we do not have to fear anything, because You are with us. Let Your Holy Spirit be our guide to keep our eyes focused on You. Amein)

Discussion Subject for this month:
--- How to determine 1 Abib and therefore the Feast dates. ---
I don't claim to know everything about the calendar issue. But from what I do know, I think it is best to stick with the Hillel II calendar that most Jewish people use and endorsed by the state of Israel.
Michael Rood and Steven Simons for example, use different variations of a sighted moon calendar. But this is the problem with this type of calendar. They do their projections. But if the date of the actual new moon is different from what is projected, the rest of the calendar has to be reajusted. That readjustment will change the dates of the feast days. This makes it harder to plan ahead if the dates of the feast days are subject to change. The advantage of the Hillel II calendar is that all the dates of the feasts are fixed, making it much easier to plan ahead. We live in a world where where we have to plan ahead or give advance notice, so the Hillel II calendar does that really good.
A good analogy is back in the early 20th century. In the olden days, most people didn't travel much. The clock would be determined locally by the town clock in the center of each town. But when the railroad was build going from town to town, a time system had to be made that covered a geographical area so that each town would be on the same time. Eventually, the world got divided through time zones. The Hillel II calendar enables everyone on Earth to be on the same page when it comes to keeping the feast days. The dates of the feasts are fixed which makes it easy to plan ahead months in advance. This is why I am in favor of the Hillel II calendar.

Abba, You put all things under the feet of Yeshua and gave Him to be the Head of all things to the church, which is His Body, the fullness of Him Who fills all in all. We were dead in trespasses and sin, but You made us alive. Moshiach is our Peace, and we are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the angels and members of the household of YHVH, Yeshua is our Cornerstone. Abba, You want us to grow up, to know the whole truth and tell it in love -- like Moshiach in everything. We take our lead from Moshiach, Who is the Source of everything we do. He keeps us in step with each other. He very Breath and Blood flow through us, nourishing us so that we will grow up healthy in YHVH, robust in love. May we be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. As the elect of YHVH, holy and beloved, we put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, long-suffering, bearing with one another and forgiving one another. If we have a complaint against another, even as Moshiach forgave us, so we also must do. Above all things, we put on love, which is the bond of perfection and let the peace of YHVH rule in our hearts, to which also we all were called in one body and we are thankful. Full of belief, confident that we are presentable inside and out, we keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. Abba, You always keep Your Word. Now we will see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshipping together as some do, but spurring each other on, especially as we see Adonai’s Day approaching. Since we all called the travel on the same road, and in the same direction, we will stay together, both outwardly and inwardly. We have one Master, one Faith, one Baptism, one YHVH and Abba of all, Who rules over all, works through all, and is present in all, Everything we are and think and do, is permeated with oneness. Abba, we commit to pray for one another, keeping our eyes open and keeping each other’s spirits up, so that no one falls behind or drop out. Also, we pray for our spiritual leaders, that they will know what to say and have the courage to say it at the right time. We are one in the bond of love, In the Name of Yeshua, amein.
