There's a parallelism in Genesis 6:9-9:23 and Genesis 18:23-19:37.
Noah-Flood-Wine > Lot-Sodom-Wine.
Both stories involve a righteous man who was saved from divine cataclysm that destroyed the wicked and then fell prey to wickedness himself through the abuse of alcohol.

The righteousness of the blameless keeps his way straight, but the wicked falls by his own wickedness.

Those who are willing to be unfaithful are especially vulnerable to their base urges. Decisions to sin are usually made before the occasion to sin.
Parsha Noach is full of connections and parallels with other passages in Scripture. Consider these parallels with Bereishit (Genesis 1-5):
- Adam and Eve walked with God in the Garden vs Noah walked with God.
- Satisfaction vs regret in the creation of mankind
- “Let us make mankind in our own image” vs “I am about to bring ruin upon mankind.”
- “Get out of the Garden” vs “Get into the ark.”
- Separation of waters vs reunification of waters.
- Separation of land from water vs reunification of land and water.
- God planted a Garden vs Noah planting a vineyard.
- Rebellion and curse of son vs rebellion and curse of son.
- Wind over the water vs wind over the land.
- Exile and re-establishment in a harsher world.

WORD FOR TODAY “is there 1 or 2 Sabbath’s”?: Gen 2:3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.
SPOKEN VERSE FOR TODAY: Pro 30:4 Who has ascended into heaven and descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has wrapped the waters in His garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name or His son's name? Surely you know!

The Septuagint (LXX) is the Tanakh translated from Hebrew to Greek about 250 years before Yeshua. It was almost certainly the bible of the synagogues in the world in the first century.
The Masoretic Text is the Hebrew Bible and dates to about 900 AD. It's the source for the Old Testament for almost every printed English bible in existence.
BOTH of these sources are very valuable for study and they agree with each other almost all the time. If folks are trying to make you pick one of these over the other, you need to not listen to them. That's a false choice. Put in the work and study to show yourself approved.
