I will turn my hand against you and will smelt away your dross as with lye and remove all your alloy.
Isaiah 1:25 ESV

The only way to become pure is through fire. The removal of sin from your flesh requires suffering. If anyone told you it would be easy becoming like Yeshua, he lied.

Does it seem that fewer people these days have a biblical world view? That’s what we conclude as we see our world reeling from one crisis to another, grasping for every solution – except those tried-and-true answers supplied by God’s Word.
We have a choice about how to respond to this crisis of faith. It’s the same choice our ancestors have had from time immemorial: we can ignore it, or we can equip ourselves to live as lights in the growing darkness, ready to help lead others into the light when they are ready to listen. That’s why Paul exhorted his readers to study the scriptures:
"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV)
This is the Jewish apostle’s challenge to get serious about learning God’s ways by learning His word. The B’ney Yosef North America Bible Reading Plan is a tool designed for this purpose. Starting with the Torah and Haftarah one-year cycle, this plan for the Hebrew year 5785 (2024-2025) incorporates readings from the rest of the Tanakh (Old Testament) and Apostolic Writings (New Testament) into a daily plan that covers the entire Bible over the course of the year. The start date is the same as the Torah cycle: the day after Simchat Torah (Celebration of the Torah) at the end of Sukkot, which this year falls on October 25.
If you are in search of an organized approach to the Word of God, maybe this can help. Whatever you do, please do get into the Word so that it can get into you!

The fasting is an incredible blessing and a humbling because we all go through the same exact thing at the same exact time. It shows we are all sinners in need of a Savior and we fully depend on God for our lives. Even while fasting, we must consume His oxygen to stay alive. There is no situation whatsoever where we can live independently of the Creator of the universe. #yomkippur2024

"So the priest who is anointed and ordained to serve as priest in his father's place shall make atonement: he shall thus put on the linen garments, the holy garments,
(Lev 16:32)

The Son of God served in His Father's place to make atonement for our sins. Can you fast to say thanks?

Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. James 1:27
