#passover Patterns:

→God slowly sets the stage then gives His enemies numerous opportunities to repent. When everyone has chosen sides & guilt is established, God moves quickly.
→God's people endure extended tribulation at the hands of the world.
→God's people suffer some of His wrath alongside the world which persecuted them, but they are protected from the full brunt of His wrath.
→When God's wrath has peaked, the world surrenders & He leads His people to freedom.
→Every stage of God's salvation requires faith. God's people don't get to skip tribulation. They must suffer some plagues & witness the rest. Unfortunately, the end of the war is difficult to see from the trenches.
→The enemy always appears more powerful right up until his defeat. Victory requires faith.
→God's victory is certain and all of His enemies will be broken, yet His people still doubt.
→Ultimate salvation & healing occurs only in isolation from the world & complete reliance on YHVH.

Awesome. Will be saving this in my notes. It's fascinating to notice and put together patterns in the Word and how things connect together.

Was Qumran A Gathering Place and Could The Essenes Be Reviving? - The Kingdom Network

The purpose of Qumran might have been as a covenant renewal site according to a recent article over at mdpi: https://www.mdpi.com/2077-1444/12/8/578 The puzzle of Qumran is why the gathering area is able to accommodate thousands of people, while the

Have you ever eaten a whole animal? Head, tail, and everything in between? If we could do a full biblical #passover sacrifice today, that's one of the requirements. It's also another pointer to Yeshua.

The Passover lamb of Exodus redeemed us from slavery in Egypt. #yeshua, the Passover Lamb of the New Covenant redeems us from slavery to sin, and redemption is all or nothing. You can't be free from Egypt and stay in Egypt. You can't be freed from sin and also remain in sin. If, having been set free from Egypt, you turn back, you have rejected God's Redeemer.

The book of 1 Enoch seems to be gaining popularity. I recently had a conversation with someone at work out of the blue about it. They were all excited about the book and what it said.

I also have several friends that hold that the book of 1 Enoch is a book that should be in the Bible. It was something that I wanted to believe at one point as well. However, when I went through it with a fine tooth comb trying to understand it against Scripture. I found that it fails to hold up with Scripture.

Some make the claim: well, Jude quoted it and so did Yeshua/Jesus.

These quotes are suspect at best. There are other passages in Scripture that give the same concepts or statements that they could instead be referencing instead of 1 Enoch. But, let's assume they are quoting 1 Enoch. Does that mean every book that is quoted in Scripture should be in the Bible? What about Paul and him quoting Aratus' astronomical poem word for word in Acts 17:28? Or when he quotes Menander in 1 Corinthians 15:33? Should we add these to Scripture?

I would hope people would say "no". The same would go with 1 Enoch. IF it was quoted, that doesn't make it a candidate for Scripture.

Be careful of what people are getting into. Video social media seems to be a breeding ground for distractions, which I feel 1 Enoch is. Test EVERYTHING against Scripture.

If you are curious on what I have issue with 1 Enoch on, here is the list I made when I went through the book several times. Take it and test it and please, please, please, test 1 Enoch against Scripture.

* Chapter 8 - The word Azazel is used as a name rather than the translation of scape goat. Azazel in Hebrew being literally "goat to go away" as it is a compound word from עז (goat) and אזל (to go away).
* Chapter 8 - Azazel is teaching men to make weapons and it is making it sound like a bad thing, but swords were used throughout the OT and the symbolism of a sword is used in good context in prophecy throughout.
* Chapter 10 - An angel tells Noah to hide himself.
* Chapter 10 - Azazel is bound up forever. Assuming that Azazel is a being and not just meaning scape goat, then in Leviticus 16:8 for Yom Kippur when the goat is sent out for Azazel, the goat would be going to a bound up being that is covered up and cannot see the light, much less a goat.
* Chapter 10 - Azazel has all sin ascribed to him, but we know that Adam brought sin into the world. The events this describes are supposed to be during the time of Noah, long after Adam.
* What is up with the numbering system in this? Some chapters are a verse or two. Verses are mid-sentence, a lot of times just before the last word of the sentence. A few copies I have seen have a chapter listed, then when you go to that chapter it says "there is no chapter X" - 11 is a common one.
* Chapter 18 - Stars can sin??
* Chapter 21 - Stars will be bound for 10,000 years. Why? If the plan of this world until judgement is 7,000 years, what is with the extra 3,000?
* Chapter 22 - Sounds a lot like purgatory, which I have found no backing in Scripture for.
* Chapter 33 - It was in an earlier chapter as well, but the concept of a portal. Is this just a modern translation thing?
* Section I. Inconsistency in translation
* Chapter 54 - First few verses and everything in previous chapter up until this point is talking about judgement in the end of days and judgement of the fallen angels and wicked being cast into the pit, Yet verse 7 starts describing a flood. In the Lumpkin version he even has a note that these are referring to Noah’s flood. So, according to 1 Enoch, the end of the world already happened.
* Chapter 56 - In the Lumpkin version he adds a note that this could not have been written before 250 BC due to country names mentioned.
* Chapter 71 - In the older translations, Enoch is identified as the Son of Man that newer translations say is Christ.
* Concerns outside of the text itself
* Every other Biblical book, God has had preserved (see number system concern above) with multiple copies and has been part of major canons over the years. The only canon this was part of is the Ethiopic canon, which I have not seen the evidence that their canon is the more correct one.
* Most proponents state it was removed from the Bible. However, there is no evidence that it was ever part of the Bible. The history of the Hebrew Bible never shows it as part of Scripture. Nor was it ever part of the Catholic or Protestant canons.
* Most proponents see concerns such as the ones I list above and just brush it off as a misunderstanding of the book.
* Several have given testimony that the Book of 1 Enoch is what brought them out of atheism or similar. This doesn't make the book true or Scripture. Many over the years have been brought into the faith by fiction books, musical concerts, friends, etc... We don't go adding these things to Scripture every time they happen.

If you know that he is righteous, you may be sure that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.
1 John 2:29 ESV

In other words, once you know who Yeshua is and how he lived, you can know who belongs to him by who is like him and living as he did.

Yah is so good

7 w

Yesterday, as my family and I drove home (I'm sixteen), thoughts of confusion, doubt and regret crowded my mind. I just felt completely lost. My impulive feelings were grappling every which way. I told Yah, "I don't want to disapoint you..."
I felt Him lay on my heart how much He loves me and that I'm trying to get through on my own, but HE IS FOR ME.
He told me, "I will never leave you nor fosksake you" He knows I keep letting my mind get fogged up with other thoughts and lose sight of how much He really cares for me.
I expected maybe He would tell me the things I did wrong or how I need to try harder. But at that moment, He knew I needed reminded of how much He loves me and that He is here for me; and that all I need to do is rely on Him.

When we feel like a dispointment to Yah or feel like we've been too rotten to expiriance His goodness, He still is right there with us, comforting our broken hearts. He knows we are only sheep. He is so good.
