Thought for Today: Friday October 14:

You are not saved by your feelings; you are saved by Moshiach… The Bible says: YHVH has given eternal life and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son, has Life. – 1 John 5:11-12. That is Elohiym’s Promise to you – and He cannot lie. Your feelings will lie to you – and satan may even use them to convince you YHVH has abandoned you or that you have lost your salvation… How wonderful to know our faith is based on YHVH’s truth and not our feelings.

A chiasm in Joshua 1:1-11 is bracketed by "take the land" and centered on "keep the commandments". It illustrates that success is ultimately predicated on obedience to God.

- A - V1-5 – God tells Joshua to take the land
--- B - V5-6 – God is with you, be strong and courageous to inherit the land
----- C - V7 – Be strong and courageous
------- D - Keep the commandments and you will be successful
------- D - V8 – Study Torah and you will be successful
----- C - V9 – Be strong and courageous
--- B - Don't be frightened or dismayed, for God is with you
- A - V10-11 – Joshua tells the people to take the land

I heard something very interesting today and it made me think a lot. This gentleman told me: My grandfather walked 10 miles to work and 10 miles back home every day; My father walked five. I am driving an old car; my son is driving a Mercedes and my grandson will one day own a Ferrari. But my great-grandson will be walking again. So, you may ask why is that? It is because tough times create strong men, Strong men create easy times, easy times create weak men and weak men create tough times. Many will not understand, but you have to raise warriors.

It this not evident in many faith-walks with many believers today? In days of old, you had people standing up for what they belief. There was respect when people talk Bible. When the pastor or preacher come visit, you dress your best and you keep quiet when he speaks. But it became much easier through time just to accept and not say a word. We grew weak, to scared what others will think. It is time that warriors rise again and stand up for our faith – Just as other religions do. Christianity, Torah and the way we belief has become an object not to upset or offend the other person. We are Torah Followers, and we are not supposed to be concern how many times people swear or ridicule or belittle us, we need to stand our ground and be proud to know YHVH Elohiym is in our lives.

Moses and Joshua are both types of Messiah. But unlike #yeshua, no other man can be a leader for every era and situation. Some circumstances require a Moses. Others require a Joshua. This is why Yeshua comes at different moments as a messenger, a servant, a conqueror, and a king. All leadership roles point to and have their ultimate fulfillment in him.

[Levi] who said of his father and mother, 'I regard them not'; he disowned his brothers and ignored his children. For they observed your word and kept your covenant.
Deuteronomy 33:9

This verse speaks of Levi disregarding his own family as a good thing worthy of reward. This is a reference to the day of the golden calf on which men of Levi killed all those who worshiped it, even his own parents, brothers, and children. Compare this to Yeshua's words in Matthew 10:37. Yeshua wasn't saying anyone needs to kill his family, but that anyone who values family over him isn't worthy of him. Whoever values Yeshua over all earthly things is worthy of rewards above and beyond eternal salvation.

Conversations with my kids 1- Why does it rain?

I have many conversations with my kids that wind up being particularly enlightening or encouraging. Sometimes, it really takes the perspective of a child to put things back in place. This was one of many that I chose t
