The New Covenant: What does it say about the old?

Are circumcision, the Levitical priesthood, and sacrifices still relevant for believers today? These are massive, hot-button topics that have sparked debates for centuries. They are emotionally charged, baggage-laden questions, and they're not easy to answer!

It seems to me, though, that most of the confusion stems from a misunderstanding of covenants. ?️

This is how I started to understand it in the past year, too. Before, my daughter had suggested the death experience must mean those who died in their sleep didnt feel or know death, so the apparent lack of the Kingdom appearing before that generation had died wasn't as difficult of a passage. When it clicked with me that the transfiguration was heaven coming down to earth, I knew this was the true understanding.

In church we were always told the Kingdom was going to rapture us, then Yeshua would come down and straighten the wicked out.

I have learned over the years that this is not scriptural. I'm still fairly confident there is no rapture, at least not like in "Left Behind", and that we will be gathered for judgement after at least half, if not all of tribulation is over. If we werent going to be here, there would be no need to seal the believers before allowing the messengers to exact punishment on the earth. New Jerusalem doesn't even come down to earth until all the destruction is over and heaven and earth have passed away. I think there will be a grand entrance of Yeshua returning to earth that no one will miss because it will be as astonishing, or better than the sun rising, and probably much swifter. I'm sorry, I forgot your post and my point. I can't scroll to your reply. I'll tidy up after this one.

So, Yes, coming into the Kingdom will be different than the Kingdom coming to earth. Two different events. Sorry about the messy post!
