The concept of predestination tells us that our Creator has already written our future and there is nothing we can do to change it. In the Creator’s answer to Jeremiah’s prayer challenges that concept and many others as well Jeremiah 32:35, “They have built the high places of Baal in the Valley of Hinnom to make their sons and daughters pass through the fire to Molech—something I never commanded them, NOR HAD IT EVER ENTERED MY MIND, that they should commit such an abomination and cause Judah to sin.”

When you are feeling lost and discombobulated, stop and take the time to get reoriented. Take inventory of who you are, what you are doing, where you are going, and see that your relationships with others are clear of criticism, judgment or misunderstandings. Let your love shine with a pure heart. 1 Timothy 1:5-6 Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith, from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk.
