I've covered a lot of other Laws that show up before the Law was given to Moses, but I didn't show the Sabbath. It was part of Creation Week. One of the things that God did in the Beginning.

When we read later on and the commands are given about the Sabbath, they even mention Creation Week as a reference to this day. It is the 4th commandment of the 10. There is a lot of importance around it.

A lot of folks will quickly point out that there is no mention of anyone keeping the Sabbath after this account in Genesis until it is given in Exodus. But, do we need that? Other things in Creation Week are not mentioned again until later books, does that make them less true? The command to be fruitful and multiply was given to humans and animals. There are no other callouts that the animals actually obeyed and multiplied. We assume they did based on the fact we have so many different animals still with us today.

We even have examples in Genesis of righteous people. What standard are those people being held to that they are called righteous? Specifically Enoch and Noah? Wouldn't resting when God said to rest be one of those things these two did?

Something to think about.

“And you shall make a lid of atonement of clean gold, two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide.
“And you shall make two keruḇim of gold, make them of beaten work, at the two ends of the lid of atonement.
“And make one keruḇ at one end, and the other keruḇ at the other end. Make the keruḇim from the lid of atonement, at its two ends.
“And the keruḇim shall be spreading out their wings above, covering the lid of atonement with their wings, with their faces toward each other, the faces of the keruḇim turned toward the lid of atonement.
“And you shall put the lid of atonement on top of the ark, and put into the ark the Witness which I give you.
“And I shall meet with you there, and from above the lid of atonement, from between the two keruḇim which are on the ark of the Witness, I shall speak to you all that which I command you concerning the children of Yisra’ĕl.
“And you shall make a table of acacia wood two cubits long, a cubit wide, and a cubit and a half high.
“And you shall overlay it with clean gold, and shall make a molding of gold all around, and shall make for it a rim of a handbreadth all around and shall make a gold molding for the rim all around.
“And you shall make for it four rings of gold, and put the rings on the four corners that are at its four legs.
“The rings are close to the rim, as holders for the poles to lift the table.
“And you shall make the poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold, and the table shall be lifted with them.
“And you shall make its dishes, and its ladles, and its jars, and its bowls for pouring. Make them of clean gold.
“And you shall put the showbread on the table before Me, continually.

Tehillah 48 - Day 2 (yom Sheiny)
Great is YHWH, and greatly to be praised In the city of our Elohim, His set-apart mountain.
Beautiful on high, The joy of all the earth, Is Mount Tsiyon on the sides of the north, The city of the great King.
Elohim is in her citadels; He is known as her refuge.
For look, the kings met, They passed by together.
They saw, so they marvelled; They were alarmed, they hastened away.
Trembling took hold of them there, Pain, as of a woman in labor, With an east wind You break the ships of Tarshish.
As we have heard, so we have seen In the city of YHWH of hosts, In the city of our Elohim, Elohim establishes her forever. Selah.
We have thought, O Elohim, of Your mercy, In the midst of Your Hěḵal.
According to Your Name, O Elohim, So is Your praise to the ends of the earth; Your right hand is filled with righteousness.
Let Mount Tsiyon rejoice, Let the daughters of Yehuḏah exult, Because of Your judgments.
Walk about Tsiyon, And go all around her. Count her towers; Set your heart upon her rampart; Go through her citadels; So that you report it to the coming generation.
For this Elohim is our Elohim, Forever and ever; He Himself leads us, Even to death.
